About and visit notes

For many residents in the heart of Miami Gardens, starting the day requires two things: a great cup of coffee and a quick, satisfying bite. Ampy Bakery, conveniently located on NW 199th Street, is a local establishment that aims to be the neighborhood's go-to spot for precisely these needs. As a central bakery in the 33055 zip code, it offers a daily rhythm of essential offerings, from strong, fresh coffee to easy breakfast items, making it an ideal choice for a grab-and-go experience.

The identity of Ampy Bakery is rooted in its role as a fast, accessible, and essential community stop. The business is clearly structured for maximum local convenience, focusing on the Quick visit model that South Florida’s busy working professionals and residents rely on. While a local bakery often excels in a wide range of goods, the critical feedback from patrons directs attention toward a particular strength. One reviewer passionately declared the coffee shop as "the best," specifically praising the coffee and the "great service all the time" from a named staff member, Mary. This suggests that the quality of their coffee and the personal, friendly interactions with staff are key reasons for their loyal customer base.

It is important for local users to note the mixed feedback. While the coffee and certain staff interactions are a source of high praise and loyalty—one customer states, "This is my coffee shop love it"—another review explicitly cautions to "Only trust the coffee," citing disappointing experiences with the freshness of baked goods and certain ready-made food items. This indicates that for new visitors, the strongest and most reliable aspect of the Ampy Bakery experience appears to be its fresh, highly-rated Coffee service, positioning it primarily as a great local coffee shop with supplementary, quick breakfast and bakery options. Locals looking for their morning caffeine fix and a dependable friendly face will find their spot here.

For any Florida local, particularly those in Miami Gardens, Ampy Bakery is worth choosing as their dedicated morning Coffee and quick Breakfast spot. ⚠️Only trust the coffee⚠️ I keep forgetting NOT to come here😫 the service interaction is so ackward I be so confused and the food is never fresh but is mostly about the fact that THEY WILL sell you that last crusty, dead piece of bake good n those week old sandwich trays. Got one last time n everyone spit theirs out when we check the ham wasnt even the right color.

I absolutely love this bakery. I have been coming to this place since I was little girl and it only keeps getting better. They have remodeled it and all. They are very well staffed and get things done in a jiffy. Everything taste great. When I order sandwiches I call to order and as soon as I’m there, it’s ready. I recommend this bakery to EVERYONE! *Saturdays get PACKED like crazy. Because they’re good!*

Ok service, ordered pastries, they were good, ordered steak and a chicken sandwich.. steak was excellent but the chicken sandwich was disgusting, very small pieces of dry out chicken that tasted like it's been in a refrigerator. Not fresh at all. No potatoes stick was added, and the scraps of lettuce was terrible. I could not eat it!!! Terrible to think that the ladies who were preparing it, had to see what they were serving. Would I recommend it NO WAY!!!! Stay away and save your money.its unfortunate that I did not take a picture of that sandwich to show everyone who reads this.

First: the quality of the bakery items — its average. It’s not the cleanest, not the prettiest, and the windows are littered with posters blocking the service inside. The ladies don’t always clean the milk wand on the coffee machine (watch them). Second: the service — disappointing. If you are a woman, prepare to wait behind the men EVEN if they arrive after you. This happens to me every time I frequent this bakery, without fail. This bakery exists without a ticket number system and favors the 10-25 men who regularly hover at the coffee counter and tip the eager female help, and then these same male customers suddenly add large amounts pastry items from the separate pastry counter (where you or I will be waiting) to feed their innumerable office workers. In other words, if you are buying a simple pan cubano and pastries for your mother, and you’re not a man ordering and from the coffee counter, avoid this bakery. If you are a woman, you silently wait for whenever the men decide it’s your turn. Are the pastries the best? No. They are barely adequate (barring the larvae-filled bistek sandwiches of the previous ownership). If you want to try this bakery, Caveat Emptor. The reviews between 2-4 years ago we’re likely friends or by “customers” who have never set foot inside, and once the new ownership took over after the maggot incident forced the sale.Avoid.
