Not long ago, a friend brought a couple of loaves of bread from Augustino Gusto Bakery to a party. I was instantly in love! First time coming in to the bakery today. My love continues! It’s a tiny shop open just 3 days a week. I came on Saturday and bought a few loaves of bread (to take to a pot-luck party tonight) and a few things for lunch for my husband and I. We tried the mozzarella and tomato quiche ($15), the Spinach and cheese roll ($12?), and an apple strudel. Each was incredible. The spinach and cheese pastry had tons of the filling and was excellent at room temperature. We warmed up the quiche just a little, it was so delicious! Apple strudel was smaller but we loved it. All in total, three loaves of bread, 3 pastries, and a latte came to $79.05, including a tip. When I first came to Greensboro, I used to be so disappointed in the local bread options. Now I have a couple of options and can probably just cancel my bread subscription! (Yes, I was angry enough to order bread online lol!). The bread from this place is FANTASTIC. 10/10 highly recommend. The place also has a ton of outdoor seating on picnic tables (when the weather cooperates). I did see plenty of folks just chowing down in their cars because YES. They do have a parking lot in the back. The place has handicapped parking and a ramp… I LOVE THIS PLACE!

Augustino Gusto is the best bakery in Greensboro, bar none.Take it from someone who has lived in San Francisco (supposedly where you can find the top bakeries in the United States) and has travelled extensively to France and Italy. Their products are top notch. If you’re looking for the overly sweet desserts common in the south, this place is not it - their offerings are more elegant and European. It’s an absolute hidden gem in the heart of the Triad.
Aug 9 · Daniel TanMy partner and I visited Augustino Gusto for the first time, and were immediately taken by the charming atmosphere and picturesque assortment of freshly baked goods. The berry tart was sweet and fresh, and the tiramisu was the best I’ve ever had. The prices are not cheap, but neither is the quality, and is very worth it. I am anxious to visit again.
Sep 10 · Allyson BlalockWorld class bakery!! Nice outdoor shaded seating and wonderful staff. The quality of bread & pastries is really the highlight. The work and dedication to produce product of this quality is to be celebrated!
Jun 14 · Edward EggerThis bakery is a hidden gem, one of the best I’ve been to in a very long time. It’s located in a converted house across from the Greensboro Science Center and open only on Wednesdays and Saturdays. We meant to stop by a few weeks ago, but the line was out the door on a Saturday morning. Popular spot, and for good reason! We decided to show up Wednesday morning when it wasn’t as busy. Little did we know that we would have waited ten times as long had we known how great this place is.What an amazing variety of both sweet and savory items, in addition to their large selection of breads. It was hard to choose for our first time. We seriously wanted to try everything since it looked so good!My wife and I shared a cream cheese filled cruffin, jalapeño and cheese quiche, and a pesto prosciutto pastry. We were in heaven. Can’t emphasize enough how fresh everything tasted. We wanted more, and ended up bringing home 2 loaves of bread, a sourdough loaf and a Parisian baguette. Later that same day we ended up eating most of the bread, adults and kids included.Don’t miss out on this one. If you have numerous bakeries in your area and think this one is too far, believe me it’s worth the drive!
