Slowest service ever. Took about 5 minutes for anyone to acknowledge me. It was me and one other person there. Blonde haired lady was more interested in dumping the tip money out on the counter than servicing the person who is there to buy and order food. The Spanish lady is the only one hustling. The bacon eggs and cheese was pathetic for the price they charge. Partly warm, partly not, bagel was dry and just sub par. The tables, not a single one was clean. I wiped one down myself. For the price, horribly slow service, food lacking, and dirty tables, I’d sooner go to McDonald’s in the same parking lot! Never again! I paid $17 for 2 BEC that barely had an egg on it, and 1 medium coffee. Drive right on by this place!

About and visit notes
Introduction / Overview
In the bustling community of Monroe, New York, Bagel World stands as one of the many options for locals seeking a classic New York bagel. Located conveniently on a main thoroughfare, it aims to serve the daily needs of commuters and residents alike. A bagel shop is more than just a place to get a quick bite; for many New Yorkers, it’s a morning ritual, a source of comfort, and a staple of local culture. When a new or long-standing bagel shop is assessed, it's often measured by the quality of the bagels themselves, the freshness of the ingredients, the efficiency of the service, and the overall cleanliness of the establishment. These factors are critical in a market as competitive as New York, where bagel standards are notoriously high. Bagel World, situated in a prime location, has the potential to be a go-to spot for many. However, public reviews paint a varied picture of the customer experience. For some, the food is good, but for others, the service and quality fall short of expectations. It's a business that has generated strong opinions, both positive and negative, which is something for potential customers to consider before visiting. The mixed feedback suggests that while the fundamentals of a bagel shop are there, the execution of the customer experience can be inconsistent. One customer, a regular who has given the place "many chances," expressed frustration with the service, describing a specific staff member as having a "nasty attitude" and being "disrespectful" to customers. This contrasts with their positive experience with another staff member, described as a "very nice" Spanish-speaking lady who is "hustling."
The feedback also extends to the quality of the food and the cleanliness of the dining area. A dissatisfied customer complained about a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich being "pathetic for the price they charge," noting that it was "partly warm, partly not," and that the bagel was "dry and just sub par." They also highlighted a cleanliness issue, with "not a single table" being clean. This level of detail in the reviews is helpful for locals who are weighing their options. The price point is another point of contention, with a customer expressing confusion over the cost of a sandwich on a roll versus a hero, and labeling everything as "over priced." The fact that a "can of monster cost more than a bagel with cream cheese" was a detail that further solidified their frustration. These points of feedback are important for managing expectations. On the other hand, there are patrons who find the food to be good, indicating that while the service and atmosphere may be a gamble, the core product can sometimes deliver. The "food is good," as one review states, but the service issues overshadow the experience for some. This dichotomy is a key aspect of Bagel World's reputation in the local community. It suggests a business with potential, but one that may need to address customer service and consistency issues to win over a wider, more loyal customer base in the demanding New York market. The information available provides a clear, albeit mixed, overview of what a visitor might encounter.

If i could give this place a 0 i would . The guy who takes the orders has a nasty attitude. I gave this place many chances and keep going back because the lady who speaks Spanish is actually very nice but today i had it . This guy treats the costumers like if they were stupid . Very disrespectful. The food is good but i hope the manager sees this and takes action.
Apr 11 · andrea patinoI am soooo dissatisfied with the quality of the food. I ordered an Asian Sesame Salad and they were out of the dressing, the chicken was rubber I couldn’t even eat it, and to top that off the wontons had an odd taste to them. Very disappointed!
Oct 12 · Kay BeeeThe last few times I've ordered wraps from Bagel World, I've been lucky enough to get Justin. He takes the time he needs to make the best wraps. Plus he's so kind and polite.
Feb 26 · Millie MoralesRecently moved back to the area after living in NYC for a number of years. We were looking for some bagels and tried out Bagel World. Ordered two bacon egg and cheese on everything bagels, one blueberry honey cream cheese on pumpernickel, and one normal cream cheese on everything bagel.First reaction to the bagels was weird. They are very soft and fluffy. I always expect more toothsome. Flavor was good but the everything bagels have more salt than anything else on them. I like my everything bagels to be covered in the everything! The bacon, egg, and cheese on the bagels was tasty though! The flavored cream cheese was great. The flavors of blueberry and honey really came through. We are two and had two the next day. After a day, they more resembled the texture I think a bagel should have. Maybe I’ll get used to the fluffiness but I really would like there to be more everything seasoning. Take a look at my photos and decide for yourself.Oh. The amount of cream cheese I thought was just on the low side of just right.
