What is Worth Choosing

For any California local visiting Bake Sale Bakery & Cafe, the selection is expansive, but the true value lies in experiencing the fusion items that distinguish this local gem from larger chains. We strongly recommend focusing on the innovative pastries and the cultural specialty drinks that have made this location a unique standout in the Azusa food scene.

The Must-Try Pastry: The Tres Leches Croissant. This item perfectly embodies the bakery's creative spirit. It takes the familiar, flaky, French butter croissant and transforms it into a dessert experience by filling it with vanilla whipped cream, fresh strawberries, and blueberries, and, most importantly, serving it with a side of Tres Leches (three milks) liquid. This is an unparalleled fusion of flavors that delivers a sweet, milky, and buttery delight, a truly memorable treat that justifies a special visit.

The Essential Drink: A Cultural Specialty Latte. Bypass the standard coffee offerings to indulge in one of their signature, culturally inspired lattes. The Mazapan Latte is a fantastic choice, blending espresso with the sweet, nutty flavor of the popular Mexican Mazapan candy, often topped with a complementary cold foam. Alternatively, the house-made Horchata Latte provides a delicious combination of rich espresso with the refreshing, cinnamon-spiced Latin rice milk drink. These beverages showcase the owners’ heritage and commitment to creating flavors you simply cannot find at every corner cafe in the San Gabriel Valley.

The Savory Complement: The Jalapeno Ham & Gruyere Croissant. To balance the sweetness, the savory pastry selection is also top-tier. The Jalapeno Ham & Gruyere Croissant provides a flaky, buttery shell wrapped around a spicy and cheesy filling, making it an excellent, satisfying choice for breakfast or a light lunch. This, or the highly praised Chipotle Chicken Ciabatta sandwich, offers a substantial and flavorful counterpoint to the cafe's renowned sweet selection.

By choosing these signature items, you are not just getting a meal or a treat; you are supporting a wonderful Latino and women-owned small business and experiencing the best of Azusa’s culinary creativity.

Best JAMAICA in the San Gabriel Valley!! We came here after a day filled with errands, it was truly a treat! My wife and I are very different on the scale of drinks but we both satisfied with the selection of drinks this place carries. I had the Jamaica which was SO GOOD in this heat! Sweet but still floral!! We’ll definitely be back!!

The two ladies that work at this store are truly so sweet! I’ve been here to do some work and the atmosphere is great, they have a lot of tables and outlets. I got their iced matcha (very good color) and their vanilla latte, both were very good. lots of pastries too, I haven’t tried but I can’t wait to go back and try some more stuff.

Delicious! My family and I were here for the first time and everything was so good. The service was amazing too. My favorites were the tres leches latte, the pistachio croissant and the chipotle chicken ciabatta. The chipotle chicken ciabatta is the best chicken sandwich I've ever tasted. Everything was perfectly balanced and fresh. They warm up the patries for you if you'd like. The croissant just melt in my mouth. Nothing was too sweet for us, it was just right. This is our new favorite place for pastries and drinks.

I got the pistachio croissant which was so good. I will definitely be back and I recommend for a good sweet treat. My only wish was that the croissant had more pistachio cream. The filling was almost nonexistent but just enough for me to taste it to know how good it was. I also wish the croissant was a little crisp/crunchy. It was softer than I’d hoped. With that being said, those aren’t deal breakers snd it was so good. I should have gotten two.
