Introduction / Overview

For those in the greater Milwaukee area and across Southeastern Wisconsin who refuse to settle for bland, mass-produced loaves, Breadsmith of Greenfield is an essential local destination. Operating as both a focused bakery and pastry shop, the establishment is dedicated to the time-honored tradition of hand-made, hearth-baked artisan bread. This commitment to quality is evident in every crusty exterior and soft, nutrient-rich interior.

The philosophy here is refreshingly simple: use good, clean ingredients and avoid harmful preservatives. As noted by local patrons, this results in bread with a naturally shorter shelf life—a clear sign that it is filled with wholesome nutrients, not synthetic fillers. Breadsmith of Greenfield specializes in a rotating selection of classic European-style breads, hearty American favorites, and tempting sweet treats, ensuring that whether you need a daily sandwich loaf, a crusty French baguette, or a decadent dessert, you are getting a fresh, scratch-made product. If you love bread and have not tried bread smith, this is your sign to wait no longer! Very high-quality bread made with good clean ingredients. The kind of bread that that doesn’t have an infinite shelf life because it’s filled with nutrients and lacks harmful preservatives. This is my go-to shop for my bread of choice!

It was the first time going in with my husband after wanting to for so long. They did not disappoint! Thd staff were so friendly and knowledgeable. We decided on a pumpkin chocolate chip loaf and it was amazing! Absolutely scrumptious! We will continue to come back to hopefully, eventually taste all the breads and treats they have to offer!

The "Monkey Bread" was a real letdown. It was almost like it was gas station quality.

I purchased a $20.00 gift card . I received a loaf of their daily bread free with the purchase. When you sign up on their email sign up sheet, you get additional monthly coupons.
