This was a disappointment, after reading so many positive reviews I only enjoyed the buttermilk donut. The Reese’s donut tasted old, and the peanut butter cups on top were stale. The Oreo “panda” donut looked cute, but the cookies were not fresh and the flavor was just as sad as it looked. If you go, I would stick with the buttermilk - everything else was a letdown.

The donuts just don’t have that same delicious, fresh taste anymore. Instead, they seemed like they’d been sitting out for hours, losing all the softness and flavor we once loved.To make things worse, the customer service was very poor during our visit. We didn’t feel welcomed at all, and it seemed like the staff just wanted to rush us out. We also grabbed some coffee, hoping it might save the experience, but it tasted extremely burnt—as if it had been left on the warmer way too long.Sadly, we couldn’t even finish our donuts because they were that disappointing. It’s truly disheartening to say, but this will be our last time visiting California Donuts. It’s hard to watch a place you loved lose the quality and charm that made it special.
