Upscale donut eatery. Purchased some of my standard favorites; plain glazed and blue berry glazed. Both were very good, plain had a slight vanilla taste that was refreshing. Also picked up a three pack of the specialty minis; death by chocolate, smores, and strawberry shortcake. All were good but the order above is how I would rank them.

For a truly authentic and rewarding Kansas City bakery experience, there are several standout items and aspects of Donutology that make it worth the trip.
For the Full Experience: The Made-To-Order Mini Donuts are the undisputed main attraction. They allow you to sample a spectrum of flavors in a single sitting, making it easy to find your new favorite. A "Personal Pack of 6 Minis" is an excellent starting point for any first-time visitor. Current fan favorites for the minis often include Death by Chocolate, S'Mores, and Strawberry Shortcake.
For the Donut Purist: While customization is king, Donutology still excels at the classics. The Glazed Raised Donut ($1.99) is noted for its signature fluffy quality, providing a wonderful, light base. Many patrons also appreciate the subtle vanilla taste in their plain glazed offerings, which elevates this fundamental favorite.
For the Local Fanatic: The Chiefs Dozen ($29.99) or Chiefs 30-Pack of Minis ($39.99) are perfect for game days, tailgates, or showing off local pride. They are specially decorated in the team's red and gold colors, serving as a delicious centerpiece for any Kansas City gathering.
For the Gluten-Sensitive: The variety and care taken with the Gluten-Free offerings are a major draw. Being able to safely enjoy GF Vanilla Cake or GF Chocolate Cake donuts, baked in a separate environment, is a huge benefit not commonly found in traditional donut shops. The unique GF Poptarts are also a highly recommended treat.
For the Coffee Lover: Donutology provides high-quality coffee that rivals local coffee shops. While the donuts are the draw, a customer has pointed out that the iced mocha is worth a try, and combining any of their premium espresso beverages with a fresh-out-of-the-fryer donut is the perfect pairing. For groups, the To-Go Coffee Box is a convenient and generous option.
In short, Donutology offers a blend of delicious classics, creative innovation, and great local service. It provides the perfect opportunity to indulge in a truly personalized sweet treat and is a cornerstone of the Kansas City bakery scene that all Missouri residents should experience.

Stopped in for a donut and coffee. Donut was spectacular… as always. My iced mocha… not so much. At $7.50 for what would be a medium sized coffee elsewhere, will consider other coffee options nearby. Will still make the trip for the donut. It’s worth it.
Jul 18 · Bradley ScottWhat an adorable donut shop! Friendly staff and delicious donuts. We’ve been there a couple times and we love it! Every time we go to Kansas City, we will be stopping.
Sep 9 · Kurt GoetzingerWe I first picked out our hotel. I was looking around the area to find places to eat and came across Donutology and knew we had to try it for breakfast. I didn't realize it was so close to our hotel. It was about a 5-10 min walk. The donuts were good, and I enjoyed the chocolate milk. I don't think I've had milk in a glass container, so that was something new and different. They also have a photo booth inside, and my daughter and I used it. It costs $5.55, and you get 2 strips. Would returned if we come back to KC.
Mar 31 · Maria YeahquoOn July 18, 2025 I picked up large surprise bag of donuts for $6.99 (product was valued at $21.00 on TooGoodToGo) - Order ID: 5EX74BKV3XV01. What I normally received in the past was 2 boxes of 12 donuts/box (hence valued appropriately, since a dozen of donuts were priced at $12.99). This time around I received a paper sack of 6 donuts. I did not get the marketed value of $21.00 for my purchase. I mentioned it to the server but she really did not address my concern and I did not pursue it further. I felt the owner, Andrew Cameron, (although I commend him for participating with TGTG) needs to value his products sold appropriately based on the how the program is set up.I have also addressed my concern with TGTG. I support independent businesses and I hope to get a response back from management.
