El Trigal del Peru, a unique Peruvian bakery and restaurant, offers a slice of Peruvian culture right on Maple Avenue. This establishment stands out by providing a distinct and flavorful alternative to traditional American bakeries. The bakery provides a space for community members to explore a new cuisine and enjoy traditional dishes that are prepared with care and an authentic touch.

The menu at El Trigal del Peru is a testament to the rich and diverse culinary traditions of Peru. While many bakeries focus solely on sweet treats, this establishment offers a complete dining experience. Customers can start their day with a classic American-style breakfast sandwich or opt for more traditional Peruvian and Latin American breakfast items like 'Calentado con Carne'—a mix of reheated rice and beans with beef. The bakery is also well-known for its wide selection of frituras, which includes various empanadas filled with meat, chicken, or cheese. These savory pastries are a highlight, offering a quick, portable, and delicious meal or snack that has earned a loyal following among local food enthusiasts. The variety of options ensures that there is something for everyone, whether they are a long-time fan of Peruvian cuisine or a newcomer eager to try something new.

While public reviews may sometimes mention a need for improvement in customer service, the consistent praise for the food itself speaks volumes about the quality of the products. The generous portions, flavorful ingredients, and authentic recipes are what keep customers coming back. The dishes, like the 'Sopa Pollo Grande' and 'Bandeja Paisa,' showcase the kitchen’s ability to create comforting and filling meals that are both delicious and true to their Peruvian roots. The presence of options like a simple 'Sandwich Egg, Cheese' alongside more complex dishes allows the bakery to serve a diverse clientele, from those seeking a taste of home to those just looking for a simple, tasty meal.

It’s no use that the food they serve is very good when the staff who are there to serve the public is very spoiled, the lady seems not to like her work and even at the moment of leaving the return throws the money as if one was asking for the things for free and at the time of taking the order the same, not even the owners are so bad time it made me go through they really should improve their attention.

It was a Friday morning I came in very hungry,I ordered a bacon egg and cheese sandwich and asked for no cheese then the dish came with cheese so I had to give them back the bacon egg and cheese and the employee handed my sandwich back and I looked inside and it still had cheese.

The food at this place is decent, especially the breads which remind me of Peruvian cuisine back home. However, the overall experience is affected by the people that take the orders. Specially a woman who has a consistently bad attitude and rarely smiles or says thank you. Additionally, the food takes a long time to be served, even when the place is not busy. I have regretted going there during my lunch break or on my way to work because of the slow service. Not only that, the prices are quite high, and even a simple order of 8 breads and a few other items can easily cost over $40. It's clear that customer service is not a priority for this bakery. It's a shame that the customer service is lacking, and I hope a rival Peruvian bakery opens in the area to improve the overall service. Due to my experiences with the service, I rarely go there anymore.
