Cute little store/restaurant. Always find our favorite pastries here. They have some cute little figurines too!I came in recently to eat dinner .... Let's just say I won't be coming back. We ordered the menudo, shrimp cocktail, horchata, and atol de pilloncillo. Terrible, I understand the wait times being long, that was no issue. The issue was the food. Unfortunately very bad smelling menudo, didn't even get to eat it with how bad it smelled. The cocktail was pretty decent, needed more ketchup and less cilantro, cilantro was literally the whole top portion of the cocktail 😅. The atol was thick and poorly made. I couldn't eat the menudo and informed her about how badly it smelled. Still paid 65 bucks for all of it.

## What is Worth Choosing
El Valle Oaxaqueno is truly worth choosing for its unparalleled authenticity and its unique position as a full-service Oaxacan culinary outlet in Los Angeles. The primary draw for many Angelenos is the consistently high quality and variety of their Pan Dulce Oaxaqueño, which patrons report always includes their "favorite pastries." These baked goods, paired with a cup of Café De La Olla or a rich Chocolate De Leche, offer a perfect, authentic morning or afternoon treat.
Furthermore, the specialized Platillos Oaxaqueños are the main reason to dine in. Dishes like Tasajo Encebollado Con Champiñones (Thin-sliced beef with onions and mushrooms) and the variety of Moles offer complex flavors that are difficult to find outside of Oaxaca itself. The unique beverages, especially the weekend-only availability of Tejate, are also a highlight that authentic food lovers should seek out. The inclusive features of a Free parking lot and SNAP/EBT acceptance further solidify its value as a crucial, accessible community establishment.
However, in maintaining a strictly factual tone, it is necessary to advise potential diners on specific feedback regarding prepared dinner items. Some customer reports have indicated occasional quality control issues with certain large, broth-based dishes, such as the Menudo, which was reported to have a poor smell and was considered inedible by one diner. Additionally, there have been comments on the preparation of certain drinks, such as the Atol de Pilloncillo, being overly thick, and the seasoning balance of items like the Coctail De Camarones needing adjustment (too much cilantro).
Therefore, while the bakery items, Oaxacan main courses, and the commitment to authentic ingredients are a definite choice, customers should be aware of these reported inconsistencies in the preparation of some specialty dinner and soup items. For the best experience, we highly recommend focusing on their core strengths: the renowned Pan Dulce, the rich Platillos Oaxaqueños (like Moles and Barbacoa), and the various authentic Aguas Frescas and coffee beverages. This is the place to indulge in the sweet and savory traditions of Oaxaca, supported by convenient services and a strong commitment to the local community.

Apr 28 · Alexander HernandezThis panadería is great! All the bread is fresh and delicious. Also all the pan dulces are on point! Parking is a bit tough but worth the pain tbh. It’s a bit on the pricier side but definitely worth every penny. I will definitely return for more pan.
