What is Worth Choosing

Choosing Eller Bakery is a vote for quality, craft, and an integrated culinary experience that is increasingly rare. For a local user in California, the decision to visit Eller is justified by several key factors that offer exceptional value.

First, the core excellence is in the baking itself. The use of heritage grains and the in-house milling process speak to a genuine commitment to quality ingredients that directly impacts the flavor and texture of their breads and pastries. Items like their famous Cinnamon Rolls are highly celebrated and often sell out early, indicating a level of product excellence that commands loyalty and early attendance from locals. This pursuit of 'Kitchen & Baking Excellence' is a compelling reason to make Eller your preferred bakery.

Second, the integrated cafe and roastery concept provides a complete morning and afternoon destination. You don't have to visit a separate coffee shop to pair your perfectly baked pastry with an equally high-quality coffee. The availability of a rich, creamy, and well-balanced Maple Latte alongside a full All-Day Brunch menu, featuring substantial dishes like Benedict and Savory Egg Crêpe, makes Eller a versatile spot for a quick coffee run or a long, leisurely weekend meal on their attractive back patio.

Finally, the dedication to accessibility with a wheelchair entrance and parking lot, combined with a generally friendly staff and a beautiful, modern atmosphere, ensures the experience is pleasant and available to everyone. While service can occasionally be inconsistent, the overwhelming consensus points to the food and atmosphere shining consistently. When you choose Eller Bakery, you're not just buying a pastry; you're investing in a local, multi-faceted Orange County culinary establishment that is striving to uphold the highest standards in baking, milling, and coffee roasting. For the sophisticated California palate, Eller Bakery offers an essential upgrade to the daily routine.

Mixed Bag at Eller Bakery -Food Wins, Service LosesThe food here is AMAZING—those cinnamon rolls are a game-changer (get there early; they sell out by 11 a.m.). The back patio is gorgeous and pet-friendly (there were other dogs on the patio)—which is why I drove an hour back the next day after a fantastic first visit. Staff were super welcoming to my dog, even asking his name and if they could pet him.But day two? Total letdown. A woman snapped as I was trying to order, "We have a no-dog policy," despite the previous day's vibe and the other dogs on the patio, and shooed me out because they were undergoing health inspection—before I ordered. Then she fawned over another patron's pup with water and smiles. The hypocrisy stung, especially after the trek and parking hassle (limited parking and spots fill fast).Food and atmosphere shine, but inconsistent, preferential service? Not okay. Proceed with caution if you're bringing a dog as it’s ok for some people but not all.

A chic bakery with sour dough pastries out here in a little commercial area. There is plenty of seating inside and outside. The place looks great, modern and minimalistic. The staff was friendly and welcoming, service was fast.I ordered the Cinnamon Roll, it was good. Also ordered the Maple Latte, it was rich, creamy and not too sweet.

Stopped by this adorable bakery cafe and was immediately charmed by the cozy, welcoming atmosphere. It’s a super cute spot, perfect for a relaxed coffee or casual meet-up.I tried a croissant, a sandwich, and a cinnamon roll. The croissant was definitely the highlight. It was buttery, flaky, and fresh. The sandwich and cinnamon roll were just okay and didn’t quite stand out.Overall, it’s a great spot for the vibe and worth visiting, especially for the pastries and ambiance. It is more on the expensive side for what you get. But I would come back to try some of their other baked goods.

DONT WALK, RUN Forrest RUN! Eller’s Bakery isn’t just a trendy restaurant but a true experience and forward thinking establishment. From milling their grain to ensuring THE highest quality ingredients, Eller’s does things the RIGHT way not the EASY way.My husband, new born and I loved our time here. We split a couple pastries (cinnamon roll and coffee cake) both of which were absolutely scrumptious! I had the two egg breakfast with their house made, incredible chicken sausage! My husband devoured the Eggs Benedict and loved the sourdough biscuit. The owner happened to be there and he was so informative and kind. 12/10 would recommend Eller’s and wish more establishments would put the thought and care into their product like Kristove and the team at Eller’s Bakery does!

Well that was overpriced. Super kind and sweet employees. But I can’t believe my turkey croissant was $9!! For 9 bucks, it should have been the most incredible croissant of my life, and it most certainly was not. It was a $6 croissant, max. The rest of their menu looked incredibly expensive. My friend got a croissant, latte, and loaf of bread and her total was around $40 pre-tax. I respect good baking, but not price gouging.
