There are so many bakeries in Chicago, so I was not expecting anything special in this place but a decent sweet or savory croissant. But there is an artisinal quality to their offerings that I was not prepared for but pleasantly surprised.I intentionally ordered sweet pastries but after reviewing all their baked goods Ill need to return to try their savory foods.Tried the citrus cream choux pastry which was amazing. Not overly sweet but nice citrus tang with a complimentary strawberry crumble that added a layer of textural complexity.Their chocolate hazelnut nest has actual crunchy bits of hazelnut in their crumbly croissant nest. Not as sweet as Nutella, but just as satisfying. This is a very small space so most are to-go orders. The staff is friendly and the place is accommodating and clean.

I really loved the princess gansito! The layers on layers, the artistry, the delicacy - it was very creamy and the jam in the middle was tangy. So good.I would say that the coffee wasn't outstanding - not bad but you come here for the baked goods. I got the banana latte and the banana was there in name only.

Don’t walk, run. Because they will sell out. I attempted to get some a few days prior but they had sold out before noon. These pastries are worth every effort to get and you can tell they are made with dedication and love. I’m obsessed with the Guava Custard Danish and will keep an eye out for more danishes! Can’t wait to return for more!!
