Ambiance: Lovely setting with both indoor seating and a cozy backyard area. It’s charming but can get quite busy, so expect a wait, especially during peak hours. Not the best spot for large gatherings, but great for smaller groups or a relaxed meal.Customer Service: The staff are friendly and welcoming, making the experience pleasant even when the place is crowded. They do offer a high chair for little ones, though there’s no dedicated kids’ menu.Food: Very good selection of food and pastries, with fresh flavors and tempting options for any time of day. Definitely worth the wait if you have the time.

---What is Worth Choosing Mademoiselle Colette
Mademoiselle Colette in Redwood City is an absolutely worthwhile choice for the California consumer seeking an authentic, high-quality, and complete French experience. What sets this establishment apart is its unwavering commitment to both the quality of its baking and the sophistication of its full dining menu.
The primary reason to choose Mademoiselle Colette is the uncompromising authenticity of its baked goods. The pastries are not mere imitations; they are the real deal, with customers confirming that all baked goods are "delicious." Unlike bakeries that focus on Americanized versions, here you find genuine French classics like the flaky Kouign Amann, the richly dense Paris Brest, and the perfect Baguette. However, it is important for locals to heed the advice to "Go early for better selection," as fresh items, once sold out, are not always immediately replenished.
Beyond the pastry case, the ability to transition from a coffee shop to a dedicated Brunch and Lunch restaurant is a significant value-add. This versatility makes it ideal for different occasions, from a quick morning Drip Coffee and Sugar Briochette to a full weekend outing for a savory Flat Croissant Benedict or Croque Madame.
Finally, choosing this establishment supports a women-owned, inclusively focused business that is dedicated to providing a pleasant, welcoming "charming" and "friendly" experience. For Redwood City and Peninsula residents looking for that ideal blend of European elegance, community values, and fresh, authentic food, Mademoiselle Colette is the definitive local French destination.

All bake goods are delicious. Drinks are good as well. Go early for better selection, once it sold out it doesn't get replenished.
Sep 15 · Cinee C.Great pastries, good coffee, excellent if limited menu, with a classy ambiance it's an ideal stop for both a quick coffee or a more fulfilling brunch. There's a clear passion for well executed techniques and quality ingredients. Not exactly cheap, but you get what you pay for. It has become one our favorite bakery's/pastry shops that also works for a nice weekend lunch outing.
