What is Worth Choosing

For Washington residents, choosing Mighty-O Donuts - Greenlake is an endorsement of local, ethical, and high-quality food. What truly makes this shop worth choosing can be summarized by its unique combination of core values and product excellence.

The Unmatched Ingredient Purity: The most compelling reason to choose Mighty-O is the confidence in their ingredients. They are pioneers in the Seattle market for using 100% organic and plant-based ingredients. For customers with dietary restrictions, allergies (egg and dairy-free baking facility), or those prioritizing clean eating, Mighty-O provides an unparalleled option where nearly the entire menu is safe and free of artificial junk. This focus on ethical sourcing, including sustainable palm oil, demonstrates a commitment to both the customer's health and the planet.

The Superior Cake Donut Texture: While the entire menu is delicious, Mighty-O is renowned for its cake donuts. Unlike a raised donut, a great cake donut must have a tender, moist crumb, and Mighty-O achieves this perfectly. Favorites like the Chocolate Peanut Butter and Lemon Poppyseed showcase the quality of their organic batter—they are flavorful without being greasy or heavy, making them a consistently popular choice among locals.

Genuine Community Vibe: Customers consistently praise the warm, friendly, and intentional service at the Greenlake location. The business is built on principles of respecting individuals and culture, creating a truly welcoming environment for everyone, from individuals grabbing a quick coffee to families settling in for a treat. This intentional positive energy, coupled with their community support through donations, reinforces the idea that Mighty-O is a responsible and cherished Seattle establishment. In short, Mighty-O provides a way to enjoy a delicious, indulgent treat while supporting a business with strong, positive ethical and environmental values.

Mighty-O Donuts is hands-down one of my favorite spots—not just for the amazing donuts, but because of the incredible people behind the counter. Jarrett is truly one of a kind: warm, kind, and always going above and beyond to create a welcoming experience. He brings such positive energy and care to everything he does, and it’s clear his team reflects that same spirit. Everyone is friendly, helpful, and clearly takes pride in their work. You can feel the love and intention behind every visit. Huge thank you to Jarrett and the entire Mighty-O team for making this place so special!Find me with a box of assorted minis and a iced lavender oat milk latte!

9/07/25 @ 9:40 a.m.Had the worst experience this morning with the woman that answered the phone at this location. I am used to dealing with zero customer service at all the Mighty O's locations I go to because that is simply what you get in Seattle but this employee was just straight up rude.I have been a customer of Mighty O's since 2017 when we moved to Seattle and I can see why more and more of their locations keep closing. This morning I was going to order doughnuts through Grub Hub from the Capitol Hill location but when I was placing the order I noticed the options on the Grub Hub menu included the doughnut option for the flavor of the month for July .. it is September now. So I decided to call the Cap Hill location to figure out what doughnut flavors they are actually offering right now. The phone number listed on Google for that location was a dead end.So I decided to call this location to ask if the Cap Hill location maybe got a new phone number but I couldn't even ask my question without the employee on the phone talking over me, cutting me off as she proceeded to quickly tell me that the Cap Hill location has been closed for a week now.I explained to her that on google it still shows the location as open and customers can actively place Grub Hub orders. She cut me off again and rudely asked what platform I was trying to order from. I explained that I did say Grub Hub and that she would have gotten that information if she would actually listen instead of insisting on talking over me. This employee made the decision to be argumentative over the phone. I told her talking over customers and being argumentative and is completely unacceptable behavior and hung up.I genuinely hope the owner takes a moment to train their employees on what basic customer service looks like. After 7 years we have made the conscious decision to never give Mighty O's another dollar (which sucks because we love their doughnuts). After years of consistent random closures during hours of operations, lack of available product just an hour or two after opening and consistent poor customer service .. the owner's inability to update current menu items/doughnut flavors on online + follow through and remove a closed location from google and food delivery platforms is the last straw for us.

Mighty-O has great cake donuts. My favorite is the nutty french toast, but they're all good. We also really liked the seasonal snowball donut. Their soy lattes are great. Our dog loves to come here, too! They gave us a little chunk of donut for him since they were out of the naked mini donuts. We've been to several Mighty-O locations with our dog (including on the Tour de Donut bike event) and appreciate how welcome he is.
