Features / Highlights
Mochinut stands out from traditional snack shops in Seattle due to its unique fusion concept and dedication to high-quality, distinctive products.
- The Distinctive Mochi Donut Texture: This is the defining feature. Made with rice flour, the donuts possess a characteristic soft, chewy interior and a slight crispy exterior. This unforgettable snack is structurally different from conventional cake or yeast donuts, offering a delightful experience in every bite.
- The Savory Sensation of Rice Corndogs: The inclusion of Korean Style Rice Corndogs—sometimes called ricedogs—sets Mochinut apart. These aren't standard American corn dogs. They use a rice-flour batter and feature exciting flavors and textures like Crispy Potato Ricedog, the cheesy Chungchun Whole Mozzarella Ricedog, and the spicy, crunchy Flaming Cheetos Ricedog or Blue Takis Ricedog. This savory menu ensures they satisfy more than just sweet cravings.
- Premium Boba and Specialty Drinks: Their beverage program extends beyond basic milk tea. Signature premium boba drinks include options like the rich Tiger Sugar Fresh Milk W/ Tapioca, the visually striking UBE Fresh Milk W/ Tapioca (Ube is a purple yam), and unique, refreshing fruit options such as the Passion Mango Lemonade W/Lychee Jelly.
- Flavor Innovation and Rotation: The commitment to rotating Mochi Donut flavors weekly keeps the experience fresh. Customers appreciate the variety of flavors and are never bored, whether trying classic glazes or something more exotic like Ube or Matcha. The rotating menu highlights the "premium" nature of the product.
- Ideal Balance of Sweetness: Customers consistently note that despite being a dessert shop, the Mochinut donuts have the perfect sweetness without being overwhelming, making it easy to enjoy a whole box without feeling too sugary.

What is Worth Choosing
For Washington residents visiting Mochinut, the key is to embrace the full fusion experience, sampling across their triple-threat menu for the most satisfying experience.
The Signature Snack Combination: The experience is incomplete without tasting the combination of sweet and savory. The most worthwhile choice is to order a Half Dozen Donuts (which allows you to sample several of the weekly rotating flavors) alongside one of the Korean Style Rice Corndogs. Pairing a soft, chewy donut with the crunchy, salty satisfaction of a Crispy Potato Ricedog or the half-cheese, half-sausage Chungchun Half & Half Ricedog is the ultimate menu hack.
Must-Try Mochi Donut Order: To best appreciate the unique texture, order the donuts in a group of three or six. Since flavors rotate, be on the lookout for popular options like Ube, Churro, or any Matcha variation. Customers love that the texture is soft, chewy, and fun. The multi-pack options—3x Premium Mochi Donut or Half Dozen Donuts—are priced to encourage variety.
The Premium Boba Experience: For a sweet, refreshing, and photogenic drink, the Tiger Sugar Fresh Milk W/ Tapioca or the distinct purple UBE Fresh Milk W/ Tapioca are worth the choice. If you prefer a lighter, non-milk based option, the Passion Mango Lemonade W/Lychee Jelly is a vibrant and refreshing alternative that pairs perfectly with the denser donuts.
The Total Vibe Check: What is truly worth choosing is the shop’s unique identity as a vibrant, fusion small business. The combination of Japanese-Hawaiian dessert, Korean savory snacks, and premium Taiwanese drinks, all served with fast, friendly staff in a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, makes Mochinut an exceptional destination that delivers more than just a quick donut fix. It's the perfect spot to satisfy any dessert cravings and check out what's new in the Seattle food scene.

Apr 5 · Aplih AIf you’re looking for a sweet treat or drink in U Village, this is a good option. Their mochi donuts are delicious, chewy and fresh. They offer a lot of seasonal choices so there’s always something new when you go. They have a big selection of the mochi dogs if you’re hungrier and lots of drink options including bobas. A single donut runs $3.95 but they offer combo deals too.
Jun 23 · Judy SIf you haven’t been to Mochinut… you must go! Cute little tasty donuts with all sorts of flavors. I had the chocolate funnel cake. It was really good. This store is clean and cute…. It’s literally set up for IG pics. They have a donut wall you can take selfies at. Everything is cute about this place. Even the to go boxes. We had to wait in a small line. But, no big deal… it went fast and was definitely worth the wait!
Feb 23 · David De MariaWell, the corn dogs were good. Not the best in my life but still pretty good. However, the service was just not what I would want. They forgot to call my number for 5 minutes after my order was ready, and they didn't even say one word about it when they figured it out. They were also not friendly to the teenagers who weren't doing anything wrong at all. They don't have to be super friendly, but at leat they don't have to sound angry to the customers just because they are down. I don't do that to my boss or coworkers at work because that is not professional.
