This cake was a disaster. Never in my life have I ever bought a cake and would fall down like this. I was even doing my best not to move the box too much and this was the result. Customer service was soooo bad, he was speaking so low I couldn't understand a word he said. Plus cakes were pricey. $25 wasted omg. Go to TC Bakery for better cakes and cheaper.

What is Worth Choosing
For California consumers, choosing Mom's Bakery & Cafe is choosing incredible value without compromising on variety. While there may be other bakeries in the region specializing exclusively in cakes—and a single customer review indicated disappointment with a specialty cake's structural integrity and perceived pricing—the overwhelming positive consensus and customer loyalty are driven by Mom's core offerings: the unparalleled drink deals and the accessible snack/Dim Sum menu.
The true worth of Mom's Bakery & Cafe lies in its positioning as an affordable, daily convenience stop. Where a pair of specialty drinks at other establishments might cost $8-$10 or more, Mom’s consistently provides two popular milk teas for under $4. This deal alone makes it a "little gem" and the preferred choice for regular, budget-conscious consumers.
For a quick breakfast, a satisfying Dim Sum snack, or the best bubble tea deal in El Monte, Mom's Bakery & Cafe is highly recommended. It’s an establishment that understands and delivers on the importance of affordability and a delicious, diverse menu for its local California customers.

2 boba drinks for $3.75ish!I love the thai tea from Mom's. My girlfriend gets the milk tea. They have a promo buy 1 get 1 50% off. Normal sized drink costs $2.50. Promo makes 2 drinks be 3.75 plus tax. I usually add a bread to the 2 drinks and it usually is around $5ish.It's my little gem. It always makes our day when we get it. I hope they never ever get rid of their boba deal. Everytime I go somewhere else I end up paying like $8-10+ for 2 drinks and everytime it's like "we should have gone to moms. It would have been cheaper and we would have enjoyed it more (story of my life!)"The only reason we dont go more often during the week is because they close at 7pm and gf gets home at 7 :'(
Jan 23 · Tony CExcellent! very good taste 👌 They took my order for a birthday cake for the next day without any problem and they give me at time.
Dec 18 · Lizethe MendezI have been coming to this place for about 3-4 years now since I moved close by. This place has reminded me of home, as well as my Mom of course, since I've gotten my mom hooked to this place. So as you can see, this place really has a place in my heart, and will continue to be until they remain open.Okay, lets get to the review of the place shall we. This place sits in a plaza, next to a market, which I believe is now a branch of the large Chinese Markets, HK. It has been changed multiple times to different owners and names, but as of now, it is HK. It a little difficult trying to see the place from the street, but it isn't hiding, and if you are already going to the market and eating at the buffet next door, why not get yourself some breakfast for tomorrow or a drink to finish off your meal. Parking can be hard sometimes because the plaza gets packed during peak eating hours (buffet) and when people normally shop for groceries (HK).Now lets get to the goods. The drinks have always been good here, and never disappoint. Early on, they had BOGO Free special on four of their drinks: Boba Milk Tea, Green Milk Tea, Thai Milk Tea, and Honey Green Tea. This is initially how I got hooked to this place because it was so good and affordable. That promotion is now a BOGO 50% on these same drinks, which is still quite cheap. They have a large variety of drinks, with an option for a drink to be hot for extra.Their bakery options are all delicious. My mom's favorite is their Taro Pork Sung Bun, which she always has to get for her breakfast the next day everytime we go here. I have tried most of their buns that contain hot dogs and can definitely vouch for that. At times they also have egg tart which I can also recommend as well. They also sometimes have pieces of leftover cake that they sell for $1, which my mom also loves. The shop also sells typical Taiwanese snacks, like Popcorn chicken and fries, but I have not tried this yet.*This place does accept EBT.
Mar 25 · Lawrence ThaiThe bread they sell here is fresh, delicious, and very cheap! The egg tarts are an absolute delicacy. Definitely recommend!
