What is worth choosing

Choosing Panadería El Sol is choosing authenticity, variety, and tradition. For Texans in the DFW area, what is truly worth choosing here are the items that define Mexican baking and culture.

First, you must experience the incredible selection of Pan Dulce. Given the low, accessible prices (many items are under a dollar), filling a tray with a diverse selection is highly recommended. Be sure to grab a Concha—a Mexican national favorite—and one of the numerous Cortadillos (sweet, delightful snack bread). For a quick, rich indulgence, the Churros De Cajeta (Goat Milk Caramel Churros) or the Ballena Rellena De Crema Bavaria (Bavarian Cream Stuffed Bread) are excellent, highly-praised choices.

Second, if you are purchasing for an event or simply desire a magnificent dessert, the Rebanada Tres Leches / Tres Leches Slice is essential. As their top seller, this creamy, moist cake is the benchmark for the bakery's dessert quality. For the more adventurous palate, the Chocoflan or a slice of the savory Kolach De Queso Y Jalapeño offers a satisfying balance of flavors.

Finally, make sure to visit in the morning for the freshest Pan Bolillo / Bolillo Bread. The bakers start at 4:00 AM to ensure this daily bread staple is perfect, embodying the freshness and quality that keeps the Irving community coming back again and again.

They’re very rude and unorganized when it comes to ordering a customized cake. One of the young ladies scheduled me for the wrong date and the ladies working the front counter didn’t want to take my order just because it was mistakenly scheduled for the next day. They could have taken my order. It only takes 5 minutes to do it because this isn’t the first time I have ordered a customized cake from here, so I do know for a fact it only takes 5 minutes to take the order. They just like to be obnoxious towards customers.

First time stopping by, we’re from Lewisville visiting family & my hubby wanted pan. We saw this place and wanted to try. Very clean, nice employees. Only thing I didn’t like was the employee was swiping in front of us.
