Introduction / Overview

Stepping into Panaderia Boricua in Norcross, Georgia, is like taking a culinary trip straight to the heart of Puerto Rico. This esteemed establishment is more than just a local bakery; it’s a family-owned, women-owned, and Latino-owned small business that proudly serves as a cultural anchor for the Puerto Rican community in Gwinnett County. Recognized as a Bakery, Cafe, and Cafeteria, Panaderia Boricua masterfully bridges the gap between traditional island baking and hearty, authentic Puerto Rican fare, offering a true "taste of home" to locals in the greater Atlanta area.

The establishment's reputation is built on the freshness and authenticity of its products. While their sweet pastries, most notably the iconic Quesitos (puff pastry filled with sweet cream cheese), are a huge draw, many Georgia residents drive long distances specifically for the savory menu. They have tasty surullos (these surullos are a little different from ones I had in central Florida in that they are sweet and have a small bit of cheese inside) that are a dollar something each and tasted so fresh. I ordered more while there. The carne empanadilla was excellent and exactly how they should be.

Took almost an hour drive, but it was worth it. Everything was fresh. Pastries, frituras and sandwiches were all good. Been in Conyers GA for 4 years and puertorican food is hard to find in this area. Me and my little family were very please. The place is very clean and cozy. Can’t wait to go back. Thank you!!

Very clean restaurant. They always have clients in the place, fast services, and an extensive selection of traditional Puerto Rican desserts. They have food as well, breakfast is always good, and their sandwiches to die for. The tripleta sandwich is huge and not that expensive. Their alcapurrias taste like the ones from the island. Very good place, 10/10 recommend.

As u can see from the website the restaurant is very small. There isn't much room to eat in. This restaurant doesn't have the original PR taste and flavor. They also don't have the kind of PR comfort food that I enjoy.
