What is Worth Choosing

When stepping into Panaderia del Angel, local Texans are met with two distinct but equally tempting choices: the sweet and the savory. The bakery’s strength lies in excelling at both, making the decision simply a matter of preference—or choosing a little bit of everything.

For a sweet treat, the Pan Dulce is the essential choice. The overall positive feedback regarding the variety and the wonderful aroma confirms that the baked goods are fresh, flavorful, and true to tradition. Picking up a basket and filling it with a mix of conchas, empenadas, and polvorones alongside a cup of coffee is the perfect way to start any day in Arlington.

On the savory side, the Tamales and Barbacoa are consistently cited as the primary reasons for loyal patronage. These items are indispensable staples for family celebrations and weekend breakfasts in Texas. However, customers should note the occasional, though temporary, quality concerns raised in recent reviews, such as a higher-than-usual fat content in the barbacoa or issues with tamale steaming. As one long-time customer noted, the previous quality of these items has been excellent, suggesting a brief, temporary lapse. It is worth choosing these specialties based on the bakery's historical reputation for quality, but patrons should be mindful of these occasional inconsistencies and always inspect their order.

Ultimately, what is truly worth choosing at Panaderia del Angel is the unmatched Convenience and Authenticity. The availability of a drive-through for quick service, the ease of modern payment options (credit cards, debit cards, and mobile pay), and the dedicated accessible features make this a truly modern and practical local business. It provides a genuine Mexican culinary experience without compromising the convenience demanded by life in the DFW metroplex. Whether you need a celebratory dessert, a quick bite, or a full package of traditional tamales and barbacoa for your family, Panaderia del Angel is a community cornerstone that delivers.

I’ve been going here getting the tamales and barbacoa for a while now but was highly disappointed today. I thought I’d never see the day when this place had mostly masa than meat but today was that day. Also, I think the masa was so thick that the couple dozens that we bought had tamales that did not get steamed all the way through. Not to forget to mention the barbacoa, which I’ve never once before had so much fat in the meat. Usually the barbacoa here has little fat if any. Maybe they are under new management or had a new cook. I will be going back again just to make sure that this is not something to continually expect. If it is and the quality has gone down hill, we will not keeping going. Either way I will be posting an update about the next food experience here.

This place needs more variety and change the recipe. Bread taste old, not fresh at all. I spent $6 for 4 pieces, and 2 of those went to trash due to lack of flavor, and they were like rocks... definitely, I won't go back.
