The vegan cake I tried was delicious. Light and not overly sweet. The orange jam was lovely. The cake was airy. But I don't think I will return because of the price to size ratio. For $10, I would expect at least double the size I got. It was really tiny.I think they are missing opportunities here. They have great products and they don't necessarily need to change the price. They just need to change the size. Like I would pay $8 for a normal sized slice of cake. Instead of losing customers because of the size, just give them more for the same price. Otherwise, I don't know how long they can last honestly.

Paper Cake shop offers a truly unique experience, and some absolutely beautiful cakes, but unfortunately when it came to the taste and texture of the cakes themselves, myself and the others in my party found them lacking. The buttercream was quite thick and oily, and didn't carry much flavor. The cake bases themselves were more on the dry side and again, didn't carry the flavor they claimed to have in the titles. The staff were wonderful, the atmosphere was beautiful and fun, but I don't think we'll be returning. I think it's definitely worth a try - after all everyone has different likes & dislikes and at the very least, they are creating a wonderful atmosphere with absolutely gorgeous works of art.
May 29 · Alexia JonesI’ve wanted to try this place for so long. Unfortunately the cakes were a letdown. I purchased their jewel box, one of each flavor. It was almost $60, making each slice about $10 a piece. At this price point i was expecting phenomenal taste, but they were just ok? The flavor combinations seemed really unique, but across 5 of us there were multiple slices we couldn’t taste any of the flavors advertised. Some of the decorations on top (jams, gels) were one of the main flavors listed. So if you don’t get a bite with the jam, you miss that flavor. Plus the cakes are large sheet cakes cut up, not individually decorated. The place is absolutely aesthetic, and the service was good. But it’s hard to justify $10 for a slice of cake that’s just alright. Also I’m sure it’s because they also have coffee, but the iPad popped up asking for a 18-22% tip on cake that was already packaged into the box.It seemed really weird to me with the already high price point.
Aug 11 · Kendra HubaFirst means of business, HAVE AN OPEN MIND! This isn’t your typical dessert shop with your typical flavors. Maybe more for the artisan “palette”. I was skeptical…but…this was fantastic! Light, soft, such a diversity of flavor. I had two different types of cake (see the pictures) and I wish I could have eaten each flavor! To the owners, PLEASE make your version of carrot cake, pleaseeeeeee!I look forward to returning soon!맛있어요, 고맙습니다! 🙂
Jun 26 · Shawn NorrisWow I’m so blown away by these cakes! At first I was worried since some people said the cakes were too sweet. However, as an Asian American, I felt the sweetness level was perfect! I am typically not a fan of buttercream but I devoured every bit on these cakes. We loved their Spring Forward (matcha raspberry), the Thai Tea, the Yoka Miso Chocolate (best chocolate cake ever??), and Keel Bill (omg the Lychee gel was phenomenal with the light lemon flavor and genius)!Of all the ones we tried, Keel Bill might be most suited for Asian palates. The Jewel Box was perfect for a birthday celebration and any occasion so we’ll be back soon!
