I stopped by Pullman Bread in Las Vegas and tried the Melting Mango tropical fruits shortcake 🍰🥭. The texture was enjoyable — soft sponge, smooth cream, and juicy fruit. The mango and blueberry worked well together without feeling heavy. It’s a clean, refreshing dessert that looks great and tastes even better with tea. It is a bit pricey, but worth trying at least once. They offer a Nevada resident discount, which helps.I also had the Shokupan bun 🇯🇵. The texture was soft and airy inside, with a crumbly outside. It tasted mildly sweet and would be better to enjoy with coffee or tea than on its own.The shop is polished, thoughtful and open 24 hours. I’d come back for the Melting Mango.

For the Nevada local seeking a truly unique and high-quality bakery experience, Pullman Bread stands out as a distinctive destination. Located in the southwest part of Las Vegas, this establishment is far more than a conventional bakery; it is an authentic Japanese Bakery specializing in the ultra-soft, sought-after Japanese milk bread known as Shokupan. As an Asian-owned business, Pullman Bread brings a unique culinary focus to the valley, rooted in the baking philosophies of Japanese master bakers who prioritize freshness, flavor, and a uniquely light, fluffy texture.
The core of their offering is the famous Pullman Loaf—a perfectly square, thin-crusted loaf baked in a lidded pan (the inspiration for the bakery's name, mirroring the space-saving methods of the Pullman rail cars). The bread is often praised by customers for its "soft and airy inside, with a crumbly outside" and is the essential ingredient for their popular, meticulously crafted Japanese sandwiches. Beyond the classic loaf, the menu features specialty Shokupan loaves, including the richly flavored Belgian Chocolate Marble Cube Loaf, the vibrant Ube Purple Marble Cube Loaf, and even the charming Hokkaido Cat Shaped Loaf ($15.00), appealing to both gourmet bread lovers and those looking for a delightful novelty.
However, Pullman Bread's appeal doesn't stop at bread. It functions as an essential stop for sweet and savory cravings at all hours. Patrons can indulge in savory Japanese comfort foods like Beef Curry Bun and Kurobuta Sausage Bun, or choose from an extensive Sandwich menu that includes the authentic Dashimaki Egg Sandwich and gourmet options like the Salmon, Lettuce, Onion Sandwich. The Dessert case is a paradise of delicate treats, from the highly-rated Melting Mango tropical fruits shortcake—described as a "clean, refreshing dessert"—to unique Japanese desserts like Matcha Tiramisu and Yuzu Small Burnt Basque Cheese Cake. This expansive, specialized menu, combined with the phenomenal convenience of being Open 24 Hours, firmly establishes Pullman Bread as a crucial and beloved part of the Las Vegas food scene, offering fresh, authentic Asian comfort food around the clock.

Choosing Pullman Bread is an experience defined by quality, convenience, and cultural authenticity, making it a highly rewarding choice for Las Vegas locals. What is truly worth choosing here revolves around their specialty products, which are often difficult to find with this level of authenticity elsewhere in the region.
The number one choice should be any product made with their authentic Shokupan. The Pullman Loaf itself is a culinary marvel—incredibly soft, often described as having a "feathery soft cushion-like crumb," and provides the perfect foundation for everything from a simple buttered slice to sophisticated creations. For a unique indulgence, the brightly flavored marble loaves, such as the Belgian Chocolate Marble Cube Loaf, offer a beautiful presentation and rich taste.
Beyond the bread, the menu is an excellent choice for a light yet satisfying meal. The sweet and creamy desserts, particularly the Melting Mango Shortcake Cup (praised for its non-heavy, refreshing quality), offer a refined contrast to overly sweet Western pastries. Furthermore, the savory options—especially the warm, delicious Beef Curry Bun (non-fried for a lighter texture) and the selection of freshly made Onigiri—provide accessible, high-quality Japanese comfort food.
Finally, the value of the 24-hour operation cannot be overstated in Las Vegas. For shift workers, late-night studiers, or simply those with unconventional schedules, having access to freshly made, wholesome food, as opposed to only fast-food options, is a massive benefit. The combination of authentic, high-quality Japanese baking, a diverse menu of unique items, and unparalleled operating hours makes Pullman Bread an essential and highly recommended local choice in the Nevada culinary landscape.

This was our 1st time and it was great ! I'd only seen some of these foods online in traveling videos. We tried several of the items and everything was perfect. The sandwiches were soft and delicious. The Mango dessert was perfect. The shrimp was tasty, just had to be heated.
Jul 4 · Heather MeyersI was traveling into Las Vegas late at night. I was in the mood for some Japanese baked goods. To my delight Pullman bread was open! The bakery was located in a shopping center. The Bakery is nice and clean with bonsai tree vibes in the middle of the bakery giving the very peaceful vibe. The employees are very nice and have a ton patience. I order the melon bread, matcha and strawberry, strawberry pull bread, matcha late, strawberry milk and tea. Everything was very delicious and fresh. Highly recommend this authentic Japanese Bakery!
Sep 5 · Jaime GomezPlace was really cool, my girl and I decided to try a loaf of Japanese milk bread, strawberry shortcake sponge cake , fried shrimp, and a garlic croissant. The fried shrimp was really big and meaty, enjoyed the katsu sauce with it. The bread was super soft and delicious we made it with Philly cheese steaks, excited to try more tomorrow with some French toast. All said and done cool experience, will def go back to try more treats.
May 19 · AnthonyAlthough it’s a 24 hour Japanese bakery, items do sell out. So glad we went at 6pm instead of 5am to get the hot baked goods. I wanted to get more items but we didn’t have a fridge at the hotel to keep it fresh. We got the baked beef curry bun,Jumbo cream puff, dashimaki egg sandwich, matcha red bean loaf, egg sandwich w jidori egg and salty garlic butter bread. We already had dinner or else we would get a plate of the rice dish. I saw the mochi cookie and wanted to try but said next time because the young man already rang us up.The owner must have heard my expression because he stopped us on the way out and handed me the mochi cookie to try at no charge.Everything tasted delicious. The best beef curry bun. We preferred the dashimaki over the jidori egg sandwich. The breading were so soft and flavorful. There’s a table to heat up your items with microwave as oven. This will be on our list as a must stop every time we’re in Vegas.
