What is Worth Choosing Rachel's Bagels & Burritos

For Washington users, choosing Rachel's Bagels & Burritos is a decision rooted in flavor innovation, incredible speed, and comprehensive menu selection. This establishment is an indispensable local choice for several key reasons.

The most compelling reason is the Unmatched Bagel Quality and Creative Spreads. The consistently high praise for their bagels, often lauded as the "best" in the area, guarantees a delicious, fresh base. Crucially, the extensive menu of spreads—including the exotic Black Truffle and locally inspired Huckleberry Cream Cheese—elevates the simple bagel experience to gourmet status. Customers can customize their morning with bold, unique flavors not easily found elsewhere in the Puget Sound region. The availability of a Baker's Dozen Bagels ($32.00) also makes it an excellent choice for family breakfasts or office meetings.

Secondly, the Unique Fusion Menu caters to every possible morning craving. Where else in Seattle can you find high-quality, dense Bagel Sandwiches (like the favorite The Nick & Nora with lox), decadent Biscuitry (like The Hello MacNasty), and massive Giant Breakfast Burritos all under one roof? This triple threat of offerings ensures that everyone in a group, from the purist to the adventurer, can find something crave-worthy.

Finally, the dedication to Quick and Efficient Service and convenience is paramount in the busy Ballard environment. The service is fast, and the offerings include Delivery, Wi-Fi, and new seating, making the experience seamless. While a review noted a temporary downturn in consistency on the biscuit sandwiches, the overall sentiment remains strong ("Good enough to come here three days in a row"), highlighting the inherent quality of the bagels and the efficiency of the operation. For a fast, delicious, and flavor-forward breakfast or lunch in Seattle, Rachel's Bagels & Burritos is highly recommended.

Update (June 2025):While still a good local breakfast spot, in the year or so between coming here, the quality of the biscuit sandwiches in particular has changed. The biscuit was no longer flaky and dense as it was before and the sandwich had less ingredients compared to the first time coming here. The photo comparison shows a good idea of what it was vs what it is. Considering the consistency the first 3 times being here, I am bummed at the downturn. The bagel sandwich is still great and it is still one of the best everything bagels around.Review March 2024:Good enough to come here three days in a row. Parking is street only which is probably the only bad thing as ordering is quick and service is quick and efficient. Fresh ingredients and a tasty way to start your day. The hello macnasty is particularly delicious with the hot honey and biscuit. Would recommend if you’re in the area and looking for some crave worthy breakfast items.

The bagels never fail here! They’re super generous with the toppings and the combinations are great. Out of the ones I’ve tried, the Nick & Nora bagel with lox is my favorite. The service and atmosphere are great! They added in seating as well. (Though when it’s a little busy, it’s hard to grab a seat)If you want to try different bagels, make sure to go early! They do run out.

5/5 every time! We’ve gotten bagels from Rachel’s a variety of times and they are hands down some of my favorites. I love the everything, zatar, and the cherry bagels. Excellent cold brew, excellent bagels sandwiches. I recommend going early, there can be a wait at times. We generally go three days before throwing them in the freezer and the freezer is always stocked with at least a 1/2 a dozen bagels most of the time. They defrost quickly in the oven and taste SO great, that’s hard to say about frozen anything in my opinion. If you haven’t tried Rachel’s yet now is the time!!

All their bagels, except the one with cheese, were vegan. The bagels were large, airy, and delicious. For just the bagel, it was $3.25 each when seemed reasonable based upon what the others were charging ($3-$3.50 per bagel). Definitely would visit again.

Restaurant needs to be more honest about the size of their burritos. The giant size used to be 50% larger but has shrunk considerably. This is understandable given current macroeconomics, but giant burritos these are not. They're still as flavorful, regardless of size
