Introduction / Overview

Reveles Mexican Bakery stands as a vibrant and deeply rooted culinary gem in the heart of West Dallas, offering Texans a taste of truly authentic Mexican flavors. While the name highlights its identity as a bakery, this establishment is a multi-faceted food destination, equally famous for its savory, traditional Mexican breakfast and lunch items as it is for its array of sweet bread, or pan dulce. This "little hole in the wall," as affectionately described by long-time patrons, is celebrated for its dedication to traditional preparations, providing a genuine experience that transcends a typical quick-service stop.

The menu is expertly split between satisfying savory offerings and the sweet baked goods that give the bakery its name. The savory side is spearheaded by the highly praised breakfast tacos, which are considered by many to be some of the best and most authentic in the area. Items like flavorful breakfast tacos, gorditas, tortas, and burritos featuring traditional guisos are customer favorites. The bakery counter itself is an inviting display of sweet treats, including traditional favorites like conchas and empanadas. Although some experiences with the sweet bread can vary in freshness depending on the time of visit, the consensus on the overall food quality and the warmly welcoming atmosphere is overwhelmingly positive, fostering a sense of community and connection among Dallas's Mexican cuisine enthusiasts.

Visitors should be aware that the bakery operates on a cash-only basis, a common feature of many traditional, authentic local establishments, so it is best to come prepared for a smooth transaction. The primary dining option is breakfast, and its hours are designed to capture the morning and midday rush, opening at 7:00 AM and closing at 3:00 PM from Monday through Saturday, with Sunday hours potentially varying.

Stopped by to try the tacos as I heard they were good. I tried the picadillo with beans. It was flavorful and good sized. I also purchased a few pieces of sweet bread to try them out and I am so disappointed- the empanada was very dense and very little filling, the sliced bread with sugared butter was also hard. The concha was also hard. Unfortunately, I will not go out of my way to try their products again.

A little hole in the wall that I've been going to for years, with great authentic Mexican tacos! Couldn't get any better. Don't judge a book by its cover. Give it a try and if you don't like it, then go back to your mom's house and eat some cheese and crackers or something

I in fact did come here because I wanted an economic and delicious lunch to eat and it's exactly what I got. That menu is from two days ago and is accurate. I wasn't expecting much from a $3 picadillo burrito, but it was so dang good. My friend ordered a torta and devoured it. Red salsa was spicy and flavorful. I'm looking forward to coming here regularly.

Aracely is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met! Went out of her way to greet anyone coming in and said goodbye to them on their way out, very rare from someone who’s been in business for 20 years!
