Loved this cute little store with lots of Mexican and western delights. We tried the chocolate fudge cake which was a tad bit expensive at $4.75 for a tiny slice but still quite good. Also, the Oreo chocolate cake looked really good. They served Mitchell’s ice cream which was a pleasant surprise.

What is worth choosing
For first-time visitors or loyal California patrons looking to maximize their experience at RicoPan LatinPastries, a few select items stand out as essential choices, embodying the bakery's unique fusion and quality.
To start, you must explore the Pastry Fusion offerings. We highly recommend grabbing one of the acclaimed Conchas—customers describe the crumbly/crisp topping and super soft, tender bread as "wonderfully light" and irresistible, making them the perfect companion for a cup of coffee. Pair this traditional treat with one of the premium, 100% butter Danish, such as the Coconut Croissant or the Raspberry Cream Cheese Danish, to appreciate the bakery's masterful blend of Latin and European techniques.
Next, do not miss the Tamales, available from Thursday to Sunday. While reviews vary in all businesses, the majority of long-time customers express that these are "superb" and a must-order. The Tamal De Jalapeño Con Queso is particularly celebrated for its flavorful filling and just the right amount of heat. Ordering tamales is a great way to experience a hearty, traditional savory item that serves as an excellent weeknight dinner or party addition.
Finally, for a truly distinctive dessert experience, opt for a slice of the Tres Leches Tiramisu Cake or the classic Flan De Vaso. The Tres Leches cake selection is a signature strength, and the Tiramisu variation provides a modern, decadent twist on the beloved Latin soak-cake. Alternatively, the Orchata Frappuccino is widely praised as tasting "exactly like homemade horchata," offering a refreshing and authentic beverage that is worth a quick stop on its own. Choosing any of these items will give you a delicious taste of the quality and creativity that RicoPan LatinPastries brings to the San Bruno community.

I had 2 pieces of bread and a tamal, for $12. Both pastries were dried and had no taste and did not feel fresh. The tamal was the worst part, it was dried, the flavors were not balanced. I honestly did not know if it was chicken or pork. Very, very disappointing and way overpriced for the low quality
Aug 21 · JOSE OVIEDO NAVAThis little panderia is reminiscent of the panderia's we have back in NC. This store is pleasing to walk into and quick to serve. The selection is vast and the bread is high quality. I got the cream cheese Danish which was incredible and my wife got the chocolate claw. Both were really really good and we even got a little cookie to go with it all. 10/10
Jun 4 · Spencer TrivetteJust passing by and saw this unique Latin pastry shop. The chocolate dipped cookie caught my husband’s eyes, it was his favorite cookie when he used to live in Hong Kong. I guess this item is an European thing? To my had a row of Pastries such as Danish and popular items like Apple fritter. The cookie I had in my hand was very thick and it is the semi soft kind. Price was $0.85/each for all of the cookies selection and around $5 bucks for a fat sliced cookie. The art on the front window is so cute and eye catching. It is a nice place to stop by if you happen to be in this area of downtown San Bruno.
Jun 16 · Rhonda LamRico Pan Bakery in San Bruno is an absolute gem! I tried the custard Danish, alfajores, tres leches tiramisu, and the lemon taquito, and every pastry was outstanding. What really sets this place apart is the balance of flavor—everything is lightly sweetened, more in the style of European bakeries, rather than the overly sugary versions you often find in the U.S.I’m from Europe, and the pastries here truly taste like home. Each item had its own unique texture and taste, and you can tell the quality and care that goes into the baking. If you appreciate pastries that highlight flavor over sugar, this is the place for you. These are clearly crafted with an international palate in mind, not the typical American sweet tooth. Highly recommend stopping by—Rico Pan is a bakery worth going out of your way for.
