About and visit notes

For many New Jersey residents, the concept of a "bakery" conjures images of quaint storefronts filled with artisanal pastries and the aroma of freshly baked loaves ready for retail purchase. However, the world of baked goods also includes essential commercial operations that serve a different, yet equally vital, role in supplying a wider market. Super Bread II, situated at 325 South St in Newark, NJ, falls into this category. While not a retail establishment for walk-in customers seeking individual treats, Super Bread II is a significant player in the commercial baking landscape, focusing on the production and distribution of bread products, such as hot dog buns, on a larger scale. This facility is primarily geared towards wholesale operations, serving businesses and potentially larger events that require bulk quantities of baked goods.

Understanding Super Bread II's role as a commercial bakery is key to appreciating its contribution to the New Jersey food supply chain. While individual reviews might highlight specific product experiences or logistical aspects relevant to delivery drivers, the core function of Super Bread II is to produce and distribute bread products efficiently. Its operations are designed to meet the demands of a larger market, making it an integral part of how many other businesses and institutions acquire their bread. The nuances of its operations, from production to shipping, speak to a different kind of expertise than a neighborhood bakery, focusing on volume, consistency, and distribution.

Super Bread II is located at 325 South St, Newark, NJ 07114, USA. This address places it within a more industrial or commercial zone of Newark, fitting its role as a wholesale and distribution center rather than a direct-to-consumer retail bakery. South Street is part of Newark's extensive network of roads, providing access for commercial vehicles involved in the transportation of goods.

For those involved in logistics or deliveries, the location is typically accessed via major routes like I-78, with specific instructions often mentioning Exit 57 towards Newark Airport and then taking the Dowd Avenue exit. This suggests a facility optimized for truck access and operations, which is common for large-scale bakeries and distribution centers. While the internal layout might be "tight and packed" for large vehicles as noted in some external comments, its positioning is designed for efficient outbound and inbound shipments. This strategic location in Newark allows Super Bread II to serve a broad area of New Jersey, effectively distributing its products to various clients across the state, making it a key component of the regional food supply infrastructure.

  • Commercial Bread Production: Focuses on large-scale production of bread products.
  • Hot Dog Bun Manufacturing: Specializes in producing hot dog buns for wholesale distribution.

Super Bread II is suitable for locals in New Jersey, particularly for businesses and organizations that require a consistent and large-scale supply of bread products. While it may not be the neighborhood spot for a morning croissant, its role as a commercial bakery is crucial for supporting local restaurants, schools, catering companies, and other entities that rely on bulk bread products. For any business owner or event planner in New Jersey, knowing a reliable and large-scale bread supplier like Super Bread II exists is vital for their operations.

The facility's focus on efficiency and logistics means that these businesses can expect consistent production and delivery, which is paramount for their own operations. Despite any internal logistical challenges noted by drivers, the overall function of supplying essential baked goods to a wider network remains strong. For instance, events requiring a significant number of hot dog buns, or institutions needing a regular supply of bread, would find Super Bread II to be a key partner in their supply chain.

In essence, Super Bread II contributes to the local economy and food infrastructure by providing fundamental baked goods on a large scale. While direct consumer interaction is not its primary function, its products likely reach many New Jersey tables indirectly through various businesses that rely on its consistent output. They make such good bread for such a good price. 24oz whole seed and grain bread for 2.50$. Pretty inconsistent stocking though and they are very off the radar.
