I got the kolaches and chocolate donut (regular not the cake one) and they were awesome! I’m not a big fan of a lot of donut shops but these donuts were fluffy and the perfect amount of sweetness. The kolaches are the best! The bread is so freaking soft and good! The gentlemen working there was kind and friendly and made everyone feel so welcomed. Highly recommend!

Taste like play dough 🤮 need to put two fingers in my mouth. Sorry this place needs a new recipe or something. Here’s a fantastic recipe for making soft, fluffy, and delicious homemade donuts. These are classic yeast-raised donuts that you can glaze, sugar-coat, or fill with your favorite flavors.---### **Ingredients:**#### For the Dough:- 2 ¼ tsp (1 packet) active dry yeast- 1 cup warm milk (100–110°F)- 2 tbsp granulated sugar- 2 large eggs- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted- 1 tsp vanilla extract- ½ tsp salt- 4 cups all-purpose flour (plus extra for dusting)- Vegetable oil (for frying)#### For the Glaze (Optional):- 2 cups powdered sugar- 3–4 tbsp milk- 1 tsp vanilla extract---### **Instructions:**#### **1. Activate the Yeast:**1. In a small bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Stir gently and let sit for 5–10 minutes until it becomes frothy. This means the yeast is activated.#### **2. Make the Dough:**1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, melted butter, vanilla, and salt. Add the activated yeast mixture.2. Gradually add the flour, one cup at a time, mixing until a soft dough forms.3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Alternatively, use a stand mixer with a dough hook for 4–5 minutes.#### **3. Let It Rise:**1. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1–1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.#### **4. Shape the Donuts:**1. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a lightly floured surface to about ½-inch thickness.2. Use a donut cutter or two round cutters (one large and one small) to cut out donut shapes. Gather scraps, re-roll, and cut again.3. Place the donuts and holes on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Cover with a towel and let rise again for 30 minutes until puffy.#### **5. Fry the Donuts:**1. Heat about 2–3 inches of vegetable oil in a heavy-bottomed pot to 350°F (use a thermometer to maintain consistent temperature).2. Fry 2–3 donuts at a time, cooking for about 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown. Fry the donut holes for about 30–45 seconds per side.3. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the fried donuts to a paper towel-lined plate.#### **6. Glaze the Donuts:**1. In a bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Adjust consistency if needed by adding more milk or sugar.2. Dip the warm donuts into the glaze, allowing excess to drip off. Place on a wire rack to set.---### **Tips:**- For sugar-coated donuts, roll warm donuts in granulated or cinnamon sugar instead of glazing.- If filling with jam or custard, let the donuts cool, then pipe the filling into the center using a piping bag.- Serve fresh for the best taste, but you can store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.Enjoy your homemade donuts!
Jan 13 · David KBetter donuts than the Duncan Donuts next door. Has a good variety of donuts and if you call an hour ahead they can have a large order ready. Kolachies are delicious. All the donuts are delicious. Great to take to gatherings.
May 2 · Rebecca FryYou have to do a better job packaging these donuts. This is ridiculous!!! It’s not the first time this happens either. I am livid.
Apr 26 · Anabel CastilloIt was 6:15am on a Sunday. I thought about Dunkin Donuts, but saw this place and decided to stop here instead, much to my disappointment. Somehow a dozen kolaches and 3 donuts cost $40. The kid behind the counter was not friendly at all, but then again what teenager would be happy about having to work at 6:15 on a Sunday morning. So, kolaches were given to me cold without even a question of wanting them warmed up. The regular kolaches are some of the worst I’ve ever had and the spicy are not much better. I ordered a chocolate and maple eclair… both were shoved in the same bag and stuck together and ripped apart while trying to separate. That aside, the filling was gross and the donut is overall disappointing. I haven’t tried the apple fritter that I purchased, but not holding out much hope. If you have the opportunity, try any other place.
