About and visit notes

Welcome to Termini Brothers Bakery, a true Philadelphia landmark that has been delighting generations of residents with authentic Sicilian pastries for over a century. Since brothers Giuseppe and Gaetano Termini first opened their doors in 1921, the bakery has become synonymous with tradition, quality, and handmade Italian sweets. While the original, iconic flagship store remains a celebrated destination in South Philadelphia, this particular location, situated within The Market and Shops at the Comcast Center, offers a convenient and accessible slice of that rich history right in the heart of Center City. For commuters, residents, and visitors to the city, Termini Brothers at 1701 John F Kennedy Blvd provides a daily opportunity to step into a world of traditional, time-honored baking that refuses to compromise on heritage or flavor.

This location, which opened in May 2008, specifically caters to the bustling energy of downtown Philadelphia. It's a quick, friendly stop for your morning coffee and a pastry, a mid-day treat, or the perfect selection of Italian cookies and cannoli to bring home to your family. The mission remains the same across all Termini locations: to honor the recipes and techniques passed down through three generations of the Termini family. They pride themselves on shying away from automation, ensuring that every pastry, cake, and cookie is crafted with the care and attention that their grandfather and father perfected. It's not just a bakery; it is a living part of Philadelphia's cultural and culinary history, dedicated to making, as the founder Giuseppe Termini coined, "good stuff." The dedication to consistent quality over the last one hundred years is what secures Termini Brothers Bakery its place as a premier Italian bakery in Pennsylvania.

The atmosphere at this Center City outpost, while modern in its setting, carries the warm, traditional essence of a classic Italian pasticceria. You’ll find the display cases meticulously arranged with a vibrant and aromatic selection, from their world-famous cannoli to flaky sfogliatelle and almond-fragrant cookies. This specific address serves as a vital touchpoint for those working in or traveling through the area, making the Termini tradition easily accessible without needing a trip to the historic South Philly storefront. The friendly staff and superior customer service contribute to the overall welcoming experience, ensuring every customer, whether grabbing a quick coffee or ordering a large holiday tray, feels like part of the Termini family tradition.

Beautiful bakery tucked away in suburban station. It was actually cumbersome to get to but once I arrived it was such a pretty atmosphere and there was tons of space. There were a lot of cakes to choose from. Small round cakes are 30 dollars. They were able to write exactly what I wanted on it and it was such a beautiful cake!!! They do not have a lot of colors to choose from though. They also have cups of coffee offered here too!

Everything is beautifully arranged and nicely decorated. The service is sleepy and distracted and the cupcakes were fine but not as good as we expected. It wasn’t a waste of money but we won’t be running back too soon.

Almond croissant was very dry and there was nothing special about it. Lemon blueberry muffin was extremely sweet. Maybe it’s just an American standard…. I don’t think I’ll be back
