Walmart Bakery

For busy families and event planners across the South Florida region, the Walmart Bakery at the Doral Supercenter represents a critical resource for affordable, accessible, and diverse baked goods. While not a traditional, independent shop, this location functions as a comprehensive, multi-category specialty store. It covers virtually every category of baked goods, acting as a combination Bakery, Bagel shop, Cake shop, Chocolate shop, Cookie shop, Cupcake shop, Dessert shop, and Pastry shop. This massive variety under one roof—a major draw for the typical Florida shopper looking for efficiency—is a key element of its appeal.

The Doral Walmart Bakery is particularly popular for its custom cake offerings, known for combining value and often surprising quality. A customer’s original Original review from May 2024 highlighted this positive experience: "Ordered a 2 tier Super Mario cake from the Doral Walmart. It came out really cute and tasted good. Great value and so adorable. The lady who made the cake was also very nice and helpful." This review captures the key value proposition: adorable decorations, good taste, and an excellent price point, making it a budget-friendly option for children's parties and events.

However, the nature of mass retail bakery services often leads to quality inconsistencies, which is a necessary consideration for local users. A subsequent Update in May 2025 from the same customer revealed a deeply disappointing follow-up experience. The custom Hot Wheels cake they received did not match the ordered design, with the image printed at the wrong size, appearing wrinkled, and poorly applied with an uneven border. The customer described the result as "embarrassing to display" and stated they "won’t be ordering from here again." This fluctuation in quality is a crucial piece of factual information for Doral residents, illustrating that while the value and initial appearance can be great, the consistency in execution of custom, specialized orders can be a risk.

The bakery's services are designed for maximum consumer convenience, offering Delivery, In-store pickup, and Takeout. This integration with the larger Walmart infrastructure means customers can easily add bakery items to their online grocery orders or opt for a quick stop using the Quick visit planning feature. While the bakery itself operates with great convenience, one important note for local users is that attempting to contact the bakery directly by phone may be fruitless, as one review states: "Don’t bother calling the bakery number; they don’t have a phone there." The provided phone number is the main store line, which can make direct communication about custom orders challenging and should prompt customers to visit in person or use the official online ordering system for custom cakes.

In summary, the Walmart Bakery in Doral offers an impressive array of baked goods at an excellent price point, with convenient logistics and generally high customer service, particularly in its custom cake ordering process, though users must manage their expectations regarding the consistency of specialized decoration quality from year to year.

What is Worth Choosing Walmart Bakery

For Doral and surrounding Florida residents, choosing the Walmart Bakery is primarily about maximizing value, variety, and convenience in one trip. The unparalleled breadth of products under a single location—from everyday bagels and artisan breads to custom celebration cakes and gourmet cookies—is its strongest asset. Shoppers do not need to make multiple stops; they can fulfill virtually every baking need during their routine Supercenter visit. This massive range saves the busy Floridian a significant amount of time and fuel.

Secondly, it offers extreme affordability, especially for custom cakes. For budget-conscious parents and planners, the ability to order a themed cake that is described as "really cute and tasted good" while also being a "Great value" is a major draw. While the custom decoration quality has been noted as inconsistent (a fact customers must weigh), the fundamental promise of an affordable, decent-tasting celebratory centerpiece remains. The availability of In-store pickup and Delivery further solidifies this convenience, integrating smoothly into online grocery and shopping services.

Finally, the comprehensive physical accessibility is a major factor. Providing a Wheelchair accessible entrance, parking lot, and restroom ensures the store is welcoming and easy to navigate for all shoppers. In a major retail environment, these facilities are essential. The overall model—a vast selection of baked goods at an accessible price point, supported by all major payment and retrieval methods—makes the Doral Walmart Bakery an essential stop for the efficient, value-seeking South Florida consumer.
