I tried the smoked salmon everything bagel, topped with capers, fresh chilis, dill, and a generous layer of cream cheese-and it absolutely hit the spot. The bagel itself was excellent: generously coated in seasoning, with that classic New York-style chew that makes all the difference. The smoked salmon was silky and flavorful, pairing beautifully with the tang of the cream cheese and the brightness of the herbs and toppings. What really surprised me was how satisfying and filling it was, especially given the reasonable price. It’s clear they don’t skimp on quality or portion size. The place is clean and efficiently run, with a mix of standing counters indoors and a few outdoor seating options. Service was quick, and even though there was a bit of a line, it moved fast-clearly a well-loved local spot.If you’re in the mood for a real New York bagel experience, this place is definitely worth the stop. Highly recommend it!

Apollo Bagels is definitely doing a lot right. The bagels are fresh, with a nice chew and solid flavor—especially the everything and sesame varieties. Toppings are generous, and the spreads are well-made, particularly the classic cream cheese and scallion. However, a few things hold it back from greatness. The texture can be slightly inconsistent depending on the day, and while the options are good, they don’t quite push the envelope the way some top-tier bagel spots do. Service is efficient, but not overly warm or memorable.Overall, Apollo Bagels is a reliable go-to for a solid breakfast or lunch. It won’t blow your mind, but it won’t let you down either. 7/10

On a blazing hot NY summer day, my friend and I wanted to try out our first New York bagel. This bagel really set the bar for how good a bagel could be. This is an open faced LA style bagel, but with the quality and care that they put into making this bagel, I think this is better than any bagel I had in LA. Super crispy and soft at the same time, the everything bagel was the perfect vessel for the schmear and lox they put on top. Everything comes together perfectly, and I wish we tried this place a few more times.

This is one of my favorite bagel spots in the city. The line is defintiely worth it and they do generally move fairly fast. The bagels are perfectly toasted and are the right thickness. They are well seasoned not over or under salted. I love this idea of adding grilled tomatoes and onions to the bagel. It enhances everything and tastes so good.Price: Very reasonably priced especially for the amount you’re gettingAmbiance: This is a quick pick up and go type of place. It’s big enough that you can stand comfortably and wait for food. If you’re 1-2 people you could sit at a small table and eat there.Insta: @TheShahLALand
