Copain Bakery is right next to Roosters, and is owned by the same people. I found this out after my visit, but honestly should have guessed based on proximity. The bakery is beautiful and Jennifer was so lovely with me, answering all of my questions and being so patient as I agonized over what to purchase. I opted for a selection of macaroons (the best we've ever had!), a chocolate croissant, a pineapple coconut entremet, a chocolate hazelnut financiers, and a cream-filled oatmeal cookie: something for everyone.😋Everything was delicious. I bought the pineapple delight for myself, but I have to say, I tried my son's chocolate croissant and it was to-die for. I must have more. The thought of a warm, melty chocolate croissant and a fresh cup of coffee in the fall is going to get me through these trying times.Thank you again to Jennifer. You're a rock star. 💞

This is a new favorite spot! The store front is beautiful, full of light and nice plants. The staff was bubbly and helpful. The pastry selection was beautiful and everything we had was phenomenal!Had coffee and an almond croissants there and got a bunch more goodies to take home.

The bread is fresh, and food tastes good! However, it's overpriced, and you get very small portions. Surprisingly small. Also, it's not a good space for dining in. It's more like a cafe for drinking coffee. So, many people wind up parked for hours on their laptops, and those who ordered food are left to camp out like vultures and fight over the seats as they slowly open up. For this reason, it is not a family-friendly space as it's a bit stressful to have children in a crowded space with nowhere to sit. The staff don't help coordinate the seating at all.I'm sure it's a great place to come if it's just you and your laptop. But if you're meeting multiple people, you're better off getting your drinks to go and going somewhere else where you can sit comfortably. And don't bother with their tiny meals.

Been waiting for them to open and the opening week has been great. The staff were helpful and the selection of pastries and bread are extensive despite the volume of customers. They replenished pretty quickly. I took the pastries with me to my flight to Spain and it survived. The spinach quiche had a kick in taste but it was great!

I came here to visit the newest bakery in Winston Salem and was pleasantly surprised. The thing that stood out was how friendly the staff was. I was immediately greeted upon entering by a staff member and the lady serving me at the counter was personable. There was a small mistake with my order and another employee promptly made it right. I hope that whatever they're doing to keep the camaraderie great between staff member continues because it was refreshing to have great service. I love the atmosphere of the bakery, it's very well decorated and has a lot of seating. I would definitely come back.
