What is Worth Choosing

For California residents, HARUCAKE is worth choosing for three compelling reasons: the quality of the Pure Milk Cream, the inventive Korean-inspired flavors, and the shop’s dedication to providing a full, high-end dessert experience.

The absolute top choice here must be one of their Signature Cakes, specifically the Strawberry Milk Cream ($14.00 per slice) or the distinctive Mugwort Injeolmi ($14.00). The Strawberry Milk Cream cake is a perennial favorite, praised for its light, fluffy texture and the freshness of the cream. However, the Mugwort Injeolmi offers a truly unique taste of contemporary Korean baking, blending the earthy notes of mugwort with the delightful crunch of crispy caramel bits and the subtle flavor of injeolmi (roasted soybean powder). It’s a flavor combination that is rarely found outside of specialty Korean bakeries and is a must-try for adventurous palates.

Beyond the cakes, the specialty drinks provide a necessary pairing. The Strawberry Matcha ($7.00) is highly recommended for its perfectly balanced, refreshing combination of sweet, earthy, and invigorating flavors. For coffee purists, the Madagascar Vanilla Latte ($6.00) or the unique Honey Einspänner ($7.00) offer a premium caffeine experience.

HARUCAKE provides a superior alternative to traditional bakeries by offering both visually stunning and exquisitely flavored desserts in a convenient Koreatown location. For special occasions or simply a moment of high-quality indulgence, choosing HARUCAKE guarantees a memorable sweet experience in Los Angeles.

EVERYTHING IS SO CUTE 😱 The cakes were so beautifully decorated and delicate- I almost didn’t want to eat my slice of cake. Big thumbs up to their cake packaging. I had my for Togo and the cake stayed up right the entire ride.. like perfecto. I got the strawberries shortcake and ughhhh I wished I bought two!! I smashed the entire slice that night and was so sad when it was gone. I also got the strawberry lemonade mojito concoction- that was meh. Not something I would order again. WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK FOR MORE CAKE THOUGH. This will be the cause for my ozempic journey 😂

Taste 4.8/5Environment: 4.3/5Service:4.2/5Haru Cake is an absolute gem of a coffee shop nestled in K-town!While valet parking is available for just $3 in the plaza, be prepared to wait in line for your coffee; trust me, it’s worth it.The interior is cozy and charming, though seating is limited. If you’re lucky enough to snag a spot, it adds an extra layer of joy to your experience. Now, onto the real stars of the show—the food and drinks! The Soso Latte is unique but delightful, featuring a creamy corn-flavored coffee topped with a mini corn ice cream. It’s a treat that feels both comforting and special. If you’re craving something refreshing, the Strawberry Matcha is an absolute must-try! The combination of flavors is perfectly balanced—sweet, earthy, and invigorating.Don’t leave without trying their signature cake, Mugwort Injeolmi. This masterpiece is layered with mugwort-flavored cake and topped with crispy caramel bits and mini peach cookies. It’s a harmonious blend of textures and flavors that’s sure to leave you smiling.

THIS PLACE IS SO ADORABLE!Seriously, come here just for the vibes—it’s worth it. I tried the Soosoo Latte and it was absolutely incredible. It had this smooth corn purée mixed into the drink, and it came topped with frozen corn ice cream! I wasn’t obsessed with the cake, but honestly, the latte alone makes this place worth the visit.

Wow the hype is real for so so latte. I got it with whole milk and it was out of this world! I can say it was the best corn cream latte I’ve had in my life. Perfect sweetness, well balanced, and you can taste and chew corn kernels in your coffee. However, strawberry milk for my mom was too sweet. A slice of strawberry milk cream cake was good but a bit pricey for me tbh. I would give 1000000/10 for so so latte only but for everything I gave 8/10

Small cafe, but really classic and I highly recommend. The matcha latte here is made with oatmilk and has a full taste. They have a variety of pastry options and they are all very good without being overly sweet.Even with a competitive cafe scene in SoCal, I think Harucake takes a high rank in my books. They have a little instant photo generator as a souvenir for visiting. There are little candles and cards available that will catch your attention as well.Full size cakes are for pre-order on their website.
