About and visit notes
For California residents looking for a satisfying, quick, and affordable meal, especially to kickstart a busy day in Los Angeles, a reliable local spot is invaluable. In a city known for its diverse culinary scene, LA Bagels stands out as a unique hybrid: a dedicated Bagel Shop that also operates as a full-service Breakfast Restaurant. Located in the dynamic Silver Lake/Echo Park adjacent area, this business caters perfectly to the fast-paced lifestyle of Angelenos, offering a broad menu that covers everything from classic morning fuel to hearty, savory comfort plates. This spot is more than just a quick stop; it’s a local favorite, appreciated for its generous portions, solid quality, and friendly service—all at a price point that makes it a true value proposition in the 90026 zip code.
The core identity of LA Bagels is built around breakfast. Not only do they offer the traditional bagel and coffee combo, but their extensive menu seamlessly blends American breakfast staples with local Los Angeles flavors and dishes, ensuring there’s something for every craving. As one customer noted, it’s a “great spot to grab a quick bite” with a “solid food, great selection of options,” highlighting its versatility beyond just bagels. Whether you’re grabbing a bagel sandwich on the fly or sitting down for a full plate, LA Bagels is committed to providing satisfying meals to the local community on Sunset Boulevard.
LA Bagels is strategically located at 2517 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90026, USA. This address places the establishment directly on the iconic Sunset Boulevard, a major artery connecting Hollywood, Silver Lake, Echo Park, and Downtown LA. For Californians, a location on a major boulevard is crucial for visibility and access. The 90026 zip code is a desirable and heavily trafficked area, ensuring the shop is conveniently positioned for both neighborhood residents and commuters passing through.
Accessibility is a key advantage for this location. While Sunset Boulevard is busy, the presence of a dedicated parking lot, as mentioned in a customer review, is a huge benefit in a densely populated area of Los Angeles where street parking is often scarce and metered. This makes a quick visit truly achievable, saving customers the time and stress of finding a spot. Furthermore, the establishment demonstrates its commitment to serving all members of the California community by featuring a Wheelchair accessible entrance and Wheelchair accessible parking lot. This focus on accessibility ensures that LA Bagels is an inclusive and welcoming destination for everyone in the region.
LA Bagels truly offers a hybrid dining experience, combining the convenience of a specialty shop with the variety of a diner. Their menu is notably extensive, catering to breakfast, lunch, and late-day cravings with a distinctly Los Angeles fusion flair.
- Core Bagel Menu: The menu features multiple variations of the Breakfast Bagel (priced at $8.00 and $9.00), along with a Super Bagel ($10.00), catering to customers seeking the classic sandwich experience. They also offer a Breakfast Croissant ($8.00) for those who prefer a flaky alternative.
- Traditional Breakfast Plates: Patrons can choose from familiar and comforting morning meals, including a Breakfast Plate ($11.00) and various egg preparations like Huevos Con Jamon, Huevos Con Turkey, Huevos Con Papas, Huevos Con Nopales, Huevos Rancheros, and Huevos A La Mexicana—showcasing a wonderful cultural blend.
- Savory Latin-Inspired Dishes: Reflecting the local California culture, the menu includes hearty savory options such as Pupusas ($3.50), Chilaquiles, and a range of Tortas ($12.00) with fillings like Milanesa De Res, Al-Pastor, and Carnitas.
- American Comfort Food: The extensive lunch and dinner options include various Burgers (including Bacon Cheese Burger and California Burger starting at $10.00), a Club Sandwish, Pastrami Plate, and Chicken Stripes.
- Mexican Fusion Favorites: They serve popular items like the customer-favorite Breakfast Burrito ($9.00), Super Nachos ($12.00), Asada Fries ($12.00), and Quesadillas with fillings like Asada and Pastor, solidifying its status as a local fusion gem.
- Convenient Dining Options: The shop offers essential services like In-store pickup and Takeout, making it ideal for a Quick visit. They accept both Credit cards and Debit cards.

- Exceptional Value and Affordability: The shop is consistently described by patrons as “Affordable and tasty!” with reasonable pricing compared to other brick-and-mortar operations in the area. This makes it a go-to spot for those needing a quality meal without the high cost often associated with the trendy Los Angeles food scene.
- Extensive Fusion Menu: The sheer variety, from classic bagels and coffee to Asada Fries, Pupusas, and multiple types of Chilaquiles, is a major draw. This diversity allows customers to visit often and always find something new or precisely what they’re craving, whether it’s a quick breakfast or a savory meal.
- Dedicated Parking Availability: The existence of Plenty of parking in the lot is a significant competitive advantage on Sunset Boulevard, directly solving one of the most frustrating problems for California drivers in the city.

Great spot to grab a quick bite. Solid food, great selection of options. Friendly, clean, and reasonable priced considering most food trucks price their items like they are supporting a huge brick and mortar operation. I love coming here for the breakfast burrito with a coffee. Plenty of parking in the lot they park at. Same as where Elio's Pizza truck parks at night if you're familiar.
