This article provides a comprehensive overview of what makes Pio Bagel a standout choice for residents, from its wide selection of bagels and cream cheeses to its convenient location and friendly, fast-paced service that is characteristic of the city.

The essence of a great bagel is in its texture and freshness. At Pio Bagel, this is a core principle. They are known for a strong selection that includes everything from the traditional plain and everything bagels to more vibrant and unique options like the increasingly popular rainbow bagels. The commitment to variety doesn't stop there. One customer notes, "There are also over a dozen choices of cream cheese, both savory and sweet." This allows for a truly customized breakfast or lunch experience, ensuring that every patron can find their perfect combination. Whether you're in the mood for a classic schmear or a more adventurous flavor, Pio Bagel has you covered. The shop’s ability to cater to both traditional tastes and modern cravings is a key part of its appeal, and it’s why so many locals make it their regular spot.

Beyond the bagels themselves, the shop offers a range of other menu items, from classic deli sandwiches to breakfast staples. While the pace can be quick and sometimes a little hectic—as is the nature of a busy New York eatery—the staff is generally effective at "turning out orders quickly," as one customer points out. This efficiency is crucial for the on-the-go lifestyle of New Yorkers, making it a reliable spot for a quick and delicious meal before work or during a lunch break. While there have been occasional issues with specific orders, as with any busy spot, the overall sentiment is that Pio Bagel provides a great product that keeps people coming back. The shop embodies the fast-paced, no-nonsense but ultimately rewarding experience of dining in the city.

Pio Bagel is conveniently located at 136 Lawrence St, Brooklyn, NY 11201. The neighborhood is a major hub, home to residential buildings, office complexes, and several educational institutions. The shop’s location is ideal for those who work in the area, residents of nearby Brooklyn Heights, or students from the surrounding universities.

Accessibility is a key strength of this location. The shop is just a short walk from some of Brooklyn's most important subway stations. This connectivity makes Pio Bagel an easy stop for anyone traveling from almost anywhere in the city. The walkability of the neighborhood means that many people simply stroll over to the shop to get their morning coffee and bagel, making it a natural part of their daily routine. While there is "seating counter and a table," the common practice for most is to "take it to go," which speaks to the fast-paced nature of the surrounding area and the shop's efficiency. The clear and central address ensures that it's a well-known spot that's simple to find, whether you are a long-time resident or just passing through.

This place a has solid bagel selection including rainbow bagels. There are also over a dozen choices of cream cheese, both savory and sweet. The staff is pretty good and turning out orders quickly, but the person working the register is sometimes hit or miss as far as being on point with the orders. There is seating counter and a table so you could eat at the shop, but most people take it to go.My go to here is the Lox Supreme: cream cheese, lox, tomato, cucumber, onion, capers.

Everytime I come thru or order online it’s an issue with these hashbrowns, or they can’t hear me when I ask for a toasted sandwich and If I repeat myself they think it’s attitude and get smart like cmon all I said was toast the bread and lemme get two decent orders of hash browns I get one crispy fried burnt hash brown it’s like they hate me or something ughAnd then I’m paying 20 something everytime they know they’re overpricing it’s like ughCan we go to war already with the government

Great little bagel shop, amazing selection of bagels, sandwhiches and shmear. The lox supreme bagel is a monster and so good. And their customer service is also great, I received the wrong order and didn’t realize until we were ready to eat back at the hotel. I called the shop and they were extremely kind and sent a delivery of our correct order to us. Definitely give these guys a try!

They have the softest bagel I had so far but very very VERY pricy, especially compared to other places with better bigger bagels and a bigger name too! This place also shows up for “kosher” bagels but they definitely are not kosher, as confirmed by the staff. They fry eggs with bacon and pork and don’t separate.I guess if you’re nearby Jay street, you could give this a try. I tried a classic lox bagel with olive cream cheese. The bagel was soft and not too chewy and overall very satisfying. But $18 for this bagel is too much, especially when other places offer the same bagel and in a bigger size with more stuffing for less. They also forgot the capers off my bagels. And the cashier takes too long to get to through the line.
