What is Worth Choosing at Virginia Bagel?

When visiting this Centreville staple, the choices are plentiful, but several items consistently rise to the top as must-try options, particularly for first-time visitors or those looking for the most popular menu items.

For a satisfying start to your morning, the Meat, Egg and Cheese bagel sandwich is consistently their most popular item, praised for its solid, no-nonsense quality and generous fillings. Similarly, the Egg & Cheese on a Bagel is a highly-rated classic for those preferring a simpler, yet perfect, breakfast.

A gourmet indulgence that patrons rave about is the Fresh Nova Lox Bagel. The variety of flavorful cream cheeses, such as Scallion Cream Cheese and Vegetable Cream Cheese, also allows for great customization.

Beyond breakfast, the lunch menu is equally robust. For a hearty meal, consider the Super Steak Sandwich or the classic Hot Pastrami Sandwich. Those looking for lighter fare often choose the Veggie Wrap or the Chicken Salad Sandwich.

Great lox bagel sandwich! One of the only spots in town that has salt bagels too, yum 🥰 I met the owner while I was in there too, was a great human! All the staff has been great, clean restaurant and fast dependable service!

I can't speak to service or atmosphere as I haven't been in, but I've now ordered from this place a couple of times while my kitchen is out of commission. The food routinely causes the whole house to fall silent while we just enjoy some breakfast. It's not complicated or greasy or weirdly gimmicky. It is a collection of solid, no-nonsense sandwiches on incredibly respectable bagels. Sometimes you just want to eat.I'm very fond of this bagelry.

The service is awful here -- not friendly at all, no hospitality in spirit, and when they answer the phone it shows how they greet you and speak to you in general. Several times I've called in to place my order and they place me on hold by just setting down the phone and forgetting. I can hear them shouting, banging, and taking other customer orders for at least 5-7 minutes, almost as if they've forgotten to pick the phone back up so I just hang up (this happens 9 times out of 10 when I call). Absolutely absurd! Then I walk into the shop to place my order (because ordering over the phone isn't successful) and the rudeness continues. The staff is short with their words, no smiling or greeting at all, almost as if the customers are a bother or nuisance to them for ordering.Lastly, the bagels have hardly any seasoning on them or they're burnt when requested to be toasted -- see my picture for reference of the piss poor pathetic "everything bagel seasoning" I got. Mind you, all of this has happened several times to me and my spouse over years. To top it off, the most recent experience I had, I was sitting down at a four seat table waiting for my to-go order and the owner was sitting across from me with his daughter/or granddaughter. An older lady (not sure if this was his mother or a friend) just walked right up to my table and rudely took a chair without asking or saying anything to me. As if I didn't exist and was invisible. She could have asked "could I borrow a chair" or "is anyone using this chair?", but no. This blew my mind of the entitlement she thought she had.Overall, there are WAY better bagel shops out there that actually care about their customers and the quality of food served. Don't waste your money, time or energy here. This place has been here for years and hasn't gotten any better, in fact, I feel like it's gotten worse!

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the level of customer service I received during my recent visit to your store.Upon entering, I was neither greeted nor acknowledged by any staff member. The male employee at the register was particularly discourteous, displaying unprofessional behavior and a clear lack of basic customer service etiquette. If he does not enjoy working in this environment, it may be in everyone’s best interest for him to consider alternative employment. Based on this experience, I do not intend to return.

Very fresh bagels and great selection of breakfast and lunch options. Service was fine - my delicious sandwich was delivered quickly and correctly. This is a casual place, great for takeout food, not atmosphere.
