Buuru Introduce
For those of us in the vast culinary landscape of New York, finding a truly exceptional sweet treat can feel like searching for a hidden gem. But if your heart beats for cookies – the kind that are truly memorable, crafted with care, and packed with flavor – then you absolutely need to know about Buuru. Tucked away in Rosedale, Queens, Buuru isn't just another cookie spot; it's a passionate endeavor that has quickly garnered a reputation for producing some of the finest cookies you'll find in the city. Forget your typical mass-produced pastries; Buuru offers an experience that's all about quality, warmth, and that undeniable taste of homemade goodness. It’s a place where every bite confirms their dedication to baking excellence, making it a must-visit for any cookie enthusiast in the New York area.
What sets Buuru apart in a city overflowing with bakeries? It's their unwavering commitment to creating cookies that hit all the right notes: taste, texture, and a certain je ne sais quoi that only comes from baking with love. As one self-proclaimed "cookie snob" eloquently put it, "I need to taste the butter and ingredients... Crispy on the outside, tender warm inside." Buuru consistently delivers on these crucial points, earning a perfect 10/10 rating from even the most discerning palates. This isn't just a business; it's a dream brought to life by owners Izzy and Abel, who infuse their passion into every single batch. For New Yorkers who appreciate genuine quality and a friendly, local touch, Buuru is quickly becoming a cherished part of their sweet routine. It’s a testament to how dedication to a craft can truly stand out, even in a competitive market like New York.

Buuru is conveniently located at 138-58 Francis Lewis Blvd, Rosedale, NY 11422, USA. For many New Yorkers, especially those in Queens and surrounding boroughs, this Rosedale address makes it a highly accessible destination for a delicious cookie fix. While the review mentions it being "a little pop-up in a parking lot," this unique setup often adds to its charm and local appeal, giving it a distinctive character that larger, more commercial bakeries might lack. This grassroots approach often means a more direct connection between the bakers and their customers.
Francis Lewis Boulevard is a significant thoroughfare in Queens, making the bakery relatively easy to find. Whether you're driving through the neighborhood, passing by on your commute, or making a dedicated trip, the location offers a straightforward experience for visitors. While parking in New York can sometimes be a challenge, the "pop-up in a parking lot" description suggests that finding a spot near Buuru might be more manageable than at other urban locations. Its placement in Rosedale ensures that residents of southeastern Queens and even parts of Long Island have a convenient local spot to satisfy their cookie cravings without venturing too far into the city's denser areas. This accessibility is a key factor in its growing popularity among local New Yorkers seeking quality baked goods.

Premium, Scratch-Made Cookies: At the heart of Buuru's appeal are their incredible cookies. Customers consistently highlight that the cookies are "made from scratch and made from organic ingredients." This commitment to high-quality components ensures a superior taste and texture that truly sets them apart. They focus on delivering a "crispy on the outside, tender warm inside" texture and a rich, authentic "butter and ingredients" taste, meeting even the highest standards of cookie connoisseurs.
Diverse Cookie Flavors: While specific rotating flavors aren't fully detailed, customer reviews mention delicious options like "cookies and cream" and "smores cookie." This suggests a varied menu designed to cater to different preferences, keeping the offerings exciting and fresh for repeat visitors. Their ability to deliver "good sweetness but doesn't taste over saturated with sugar" is a significant draw for those who appreciate balanced flavors.
Specialty Beverages (Limited Availability): Buuru also offers unique complementary items, such as "cookies and cream milk," which is noted to sell out quickly. This indicates popular, in-demand pairings that enhance the overall cookie experience and encourage early visits.

This personal interaction adds a warm, community-focused touch that many larger establishments lack, fostering a more intimate and welcoming atmosphere for customers.
Storytelling and Brand Experience: The owners are keen to share the story behind the name and the passion behind their baking, as one customer mentioned, "The gentleman who was there was awesome and was telling me the story behind the name." This engagement enriches the customer experience, making each visit more memorable than just a transaction.

The commitment to "made from scratch and made from organic ingredients" underpins this high quality, resonating with health-conscious and discerning consumers in New York.
Perfect Texture: A crucial factor for any cookie enthusiast is texture, and Buuru consistently nails it with "Crispy on the outside, tender warm inside." This ideal textural contrast is a hallmark of a perfectly baked cookie and a significant draw for their clientele.
Balanced Sweetness: Customers specifically praise the cookies for having "a good sweetness but doesn't taste over saturated with sugar." This nuanced approach to sweetness allows the natural flavors of the ingredients to shine, appealing to those who prefer their treats not to be overwhelmingly sugary.

This indicates that their cookies are worth traveling for, establishing Buuru as a destination rather than just a convenient stop for New Yorkers.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1❤️BUURU!!!!I love this COOKIE place. 1st let me preface by saying cookies are my favorite dessert. You can keep your cake and ice cream, but cookies….are my happy place. There’s a lot of cookie places that I have tried Duchess👎🏾…Monster 👎🏾 Chip City- 😐I’m kind of a cookie snob, and these are the things I rate cookies on:1) TASTE: I need to taste the butter and ingredients2) Texture: Crispy on the outside, tender warm inside.3) Commute: Would I drive more than 20 mins for this cookie?BUURU is a 10/10 for me. It’s a little pop-up in a parking lot, but I can tell the cookies are made in a kitchen of love. So go there, chat it up with Izzy or Abel the owners… get there early for the cookies and cream milk (which sells out) and enjoy Cookie Bliss!🍪
July 12 · maryam lamontI always pass by this shop when I pick up my wife from work. I wanted to try the cookies and I have to say they are amazing. I love the fact that they are made from scratch and made from organic ingredients. The gentleman who was there was awesome and was telling me the story behind the name. I tried the cookies and cream and my son tried the smores cookie. I love the fact they have a good sweetness but doesn't taste over saturated with sugar. Thank You again and if you can make it there and purchase some cookies you will not be disappointed.
May 30 · 1nfam0us K1ngJust visited Buuru after my wife told me about it. I picked up vegan snickerdoodle, chocolate chip, and cookies & cream. These cookies are always fresh, soft, baked from scratch & delicious 😋. Would have taken more pics of the baked goods that I purchased, but you know how these little crumb snatchers (nieces & nephews) are when they hear the word cookies. Visit his location on Francis Lewis blvd & Brookville blvd when you get a chance, you will not be disappointed at all. Baked fresh daily with over fifty different varieties of cookies, but be sure to check in to see what he has available depending on the day of the week.
February 15 · JOSEPH PETERSThis review is long overdue. By now I’ve tried about 7 different cookies. It’s safe to say, they do not disappoint! My favorites are the red velvet cheesecake (chef’s kiss), cookies and cream, and chocolate chip. The kids enjoy them too, especially the smores and funfetti. Honestly, imo they are the best fresh cookies I’ve tasted since Mrs. Fields was in the malls. He’s very pleasant, support a black business, stop by and try them, you’ll be happy you did.
March 27 · CoCo D.Been walking by this cool lil cookie stand on the corner brookeville and Francis Lewis blvd and finally got the opportunity to taste the fresh baked masterpieces and it was well worth the wait. The chocolate chip was sold out so that was great indicator that cookies were good. I had the pleasure of ordering the cookies&cream, Smores, and double chocolate chip. He was really kind and offered me an extra cookie called the fan pleaser. I jumped into the cookies and cream one first and it was pillow soft texture amazing flavor not overly sweet, I’m an Immediate fan can’t wait to go back. These cookies are an experience.
