Features / Highlights
The intended strengths of Chikas Bakery lie in its commitment to specific Latin baking techniques and a diverse product line:
- Artisanal Baking and Small Batches: A key promotional feature is the use of artisanal baking techniques and the production of goods in small batches. This is positioned to deliver a noticeable difference in the freshness, texture, and flavor of their bread, pastries, and desserts compared to mass-produced items.
- High-Quality Ingredient Commitment: The bakery promotes its use of high-quality ingredients sourced from trusted suppliers. This dedication to raw materials is critical to the quality of traditional Latin specialties, such as the flaky pastry dough or savory meat fillings.
- Full Range of Latin Pastries and Sandwiches: The menu is structured to offer a rich assortment of Latin-inspired treats, including classic Cuban pastelitos, savory empanadas, and a variety of freshly made sandwiches (like the popular Cuban sandwich or ham and cheese), catering to both sweet and savory cravings.

What Is Worth Choosing
What is inherently worth choosing at Chikas Bakery is the comprehensive menu and the convenience of a full-service, dedicated Latin bakery. The business’s stated commitment to artisanal techniques and high-quality ingredients promises a superior product, particularly in their specialty items like Latin pastries and fresh-baked bread, which are foundational to South Florida’s culinary culture. The fact that the bakery offers Dine-in, Takeout, and full Breakfast service, all supported by full accessibility and fast electronic payments, makes it logistically a highly convenient local choice.
However, local patrons exploring Chikas Bakery should approach their visit with an awareness that the establishment has recently been the subject of public feedback regarding service and product consistency. Several online reviews have raised concerns about order accuracy, staff demeanor, and the quality and flavor of some food items, directly challenging the bakery’s stated commitment to excellence. As a local business, Chikas Bakery has the foundation for success—a great location, full amenities, and a desirable product focus. The ultimate test for any Floridian choosing this bakery will be whether the actual experience aligns with the high standards of quality and service the business outwardly promotes.
If you are seeking a convenient, local source for custom Latin cakes and a variety of sweet and savory items, Chikas Bakery offers the full range of products required. When visiting, we recommend seeking the freshly baked goods that epitomize their small-batch artisanal promise, giving them the opportunity to demonstrate the quality and dedication they state in their operating mission.

Chikas Bakery Reviews
The woman got my order wrong and gave me attitude when I told her I did. Said I told her wrong when I know I didn't. Then she still got it wrong. The ham tasted how the place smells, dirty pig meat. Nasty. STAY AWAY. I do not trust what must be going on in the back. This was a Friday morning.CAME BACK TO RESPOND TO OWNER.First it was not a guy, it was a woman. There were 2 women in there. She was the only one I dealt with the whole time. It may not be dirty but it sure smells dirty. Clean your bakery with bleach. I've never smelled backeries this disgusting. Don't take my word for it. Anyone can walk in there and confirm.Stop lying and responding rudely to your customers like your staff and just do better.
September 01 · vilma sagastumeVery pale, lacking taste, taste old. Had to add my own guava because was lacking.
July 09 · Daniel PerezNEVER COME TO THIS PLACE:I will never return to this place again. The owner's service was terrible. They served me an orange juice, apparently the cap was on the wrong side of the lid, and when I grabbed it, it fell to the floor, spilling juice all over me. I was innocently waiting for the next glass of juice. The girl said, "You have to pay for it because I didn't spill it." I was shocked. 😳 I told her to call the owner and explain why what happened was an accident and it's no one's fault, but as a customer, the least you can do is give me the juice I already paid for and spilled. All of this happened while I was still standing at the counter. No hands full or anything, just the glass opened, so it's "my fault," according to them. They called the owner on the phone, and the owner's response was, "Either she pays or you pay." Definitely disrespectful.
April 09 · Minely RiveroThere is nothing more delicious than reliving the memories and flavors of childhood. Chikas Bakery is the perfect place to delight yourself with its delicious Cuban desserts. Patelitos croquetas and Cuban sandwich are the best. And you can't miss their famous CUBAN COOKIE
November 15 · Dayana MachinHe said he closed at 3 p.m. I got there at 2:55, and he wouldn't let me in. I just wanted to do some laundry because I've been up since 5 a.m. and I still have two hours to get home.
