Cream Pan Bakery Lomita Introduce
Introduction / Overview: Cream Pan Bakery Lomita – A South Bay Pastry Paradise
For Southern California residents, Cream Pan Bakery is a name synonymous with innovation in the world of baked goods. Located in the heart of Lomita, this bakery has established itself as a must-visit destination, particularly for those in the South Bay area. Cream Pan masterfully blends the refined techniques of **French baking** with the unique, often less-sweet flavor profiles of **Japanese confectionery**, resulting in a distinctive and highly appealing menu.
Founded by owner Yoshinori Inada, who trained in French-style baking in Japan, the bakery quickly became famous for its signature invention: the **Strawberry Croissant**. This singular treat, described by enthusiasts as a mind-blowing, melt-in-your-mouth delicacy, has achieved legendary status among local foodies, driving customers to visit the Lomita location specifically for a dozen (or more) of the flaky, cream-filled creations. Beyond this flagship item, Cream Pan Bakery offers a constantly evolving and extensive selection of fresh-baked goods, including traditional 'Cream Pans' (sweet buns with light custard), artisan breads, and savory Japanese-style snacks.
The Lomita branch, being larger and brighter than some of its Orange County counterparts, provides a spacious and welcoming environment. It is more than just a quick grab-and-go spot; it’s a place to settle in, enjoy breakfast, or meet friends over a specialized beverage like a **Matcha Latte**. The commitment to high-quality ingredients and a dedication to freshness, with baking beginning late at night and continuing through the early morning, positions Cream Pan Bakery Lomita as a true culinary highlight in the region. Whether you are craving something sweet, seeking a unique savory meal, or looking for catering solutions, this Japanese-French bakery provides a world of imaginative and tasty treats right here in the South Bay.
While the reputation of their signature item precedes them, the full breadth of the menu, from **crispy cheese bread** to full cakes and savory sandwiches, ensures there is something to satisfy every California craving.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I give Cream Pan 2.5/5 stars.Reddit brought me here. Unfortunately, I left disappointed.I fist tried the strawberry croissant, the most popular item. Yeah, I don't understand the hype. While the cream filling was good, the croissant was on the small side; with only 2 thin slices of strawberry, there's not much strawberry about this. The next item I tried was the curry pan. The flavor was good, but it was cold. Do they have an option to warm up upon request? The star of the show was the crispy cheese bread. This, crispy, and delicious.I skipped going to Corridor Flow for some good coffee to grab coffee here. Huge mistake.I purchased a few more items, but I'm in no rush to eat them. There are plenty of tables, and I feel that the space is more seating than food options. It didn't feel like a cozy, inviting atmosphere usually experienced in bakeries.Parking lot is small, and a nightmare. Best to find street parking. Will I come back? No.There are better bakery options in the South Bay. And for the price, Cream Pan is an overrated expensive experience.
July 12 · Grace ACream Pan in Lomita is a total win for anyone obsessed with their famous strawberry cream croissants! We used to trek all the way to Tustin for these flaky, creamy delights, but finding this spot near our daughter’s place was a game-changer. The Lomita location is bigger, brighter, and the staff are super friendly. They’ve got a wider variety than Tustin, with not just their killer croissants but also sushi, breads, and cakes. We grabbed a dozen strawberry cream croissants (still as heavenly as ever) and some spam sushi, which was a fun surprise. Big parking lot, no long wait—easy in, easy out. If you’re in Lomita and craving something sweet or savory, Cream Pan’s got you covered!
July 03 · regis kwongI visited this place for the first time. This Bakery came highly recommended by my husband coworkers. We try the strawberry croissants they were delicious. We went in on a Sunday morning wasn’t as busy. Their pastries are not too sweet. We order a piece of cake and you can really taste the chocolate. The cakes are a little bit pricey but I think they’re really worth the price because they’re not too sweet.
February 11 · Diana GonzalezWe ordered the Macha latte, coffee with condensed milk, breads, and juice. I love how creamy and tasty the Macha green tea is. I love that they don't put too many ice cubes in there so your last sip still tastes good even if you are a slow drinker. My husband said coffee was also very good too. But the bread we had the same option that is very dry and hard. Probably it's not that fresh. It tastes old. Everything is also very pricey compared to the quality. Even though I love their atmosphere and their drinks, I would not go back there.
March 10 · Mint PiyaThe bakery is a nice location and the pastries 🥮 are delicious they have a good selection of different types of bread and are visually pleasing.
