It's a bit tricky writing this review. Rarely have I been this well take care of when the experience did not satisfy. I've been eating bagels and home fries for a long time and can confidently tell apart an excellent bagel from a mediocre one.Deerpath however deeply disturbed me because it has over a thousand reviews with a perfect 5.0 score. Yet my gastronomic experience was diametrically opposite. While I stopped for a Bagel - maybe their ratings are based more on the rest of their food items.However, I must disclose, that the owner graciously refunded my money when the food served did not satisfy me. Their customer service was without doubt excellent.While they have a wide variety of bagels including a jalapeno bagel and a jalapeno-cheddar bagel, I found them to be surprisingly 'thin' in nature, and what felt like 'not fluffed' as you can see in the picture.While the home fries were reasonable in size, and spiced up oh so well with the cajun seasoning - they were too dry and and basically deep-fried potato wedges - instead of grilled. I ordered mine with green pepper and onions but both of those were copped too fine and since the potatoes were deep-fried and not grilled with the peppers - the vegetables slid off and sank to the bottom as separate ingredient.I had a lot of hope from this establishment but sadly I was only left with stellar customer service. I do not understand how so many of the reviews extolling this place for large-sized portions delivering high value for what you pay. Ed, this combination would have cost you approximately $12.

I remembered seeing a post about gluten free bagels at Deerpath Burgers and Bagels, so my daughter and I stopped there for a quick bite recently. I can't wait to bring our son who has Celiac's there to try it for himself! Chewy and fresh - they make them from scratch using rice flour, they take the necessary precautions to avoid cross contamination and they use separate toasters. The very friendly staff was happy to provide all of these details, and asked if we had any other questions. Aside from this, the regular bagels are delicious, according to my daughter, and the cream cheese also tasted home made and seemed very fresh. The menu is huge - they have much more than just bagels, including boba tea, milkshakes, a large coffee island plus other specialty drinks and obviously many lunch options including sandwiches and burgers. For a bagel shop / deli the space is ample with lots of tables and chairs. And very lovely & friendly staff. Will be back!!!

This place is AWESOME….Practically my second home (away from home)…Always stop by here when I am in town.Never disappointed and they are always introducing new items to their ever expanding menu….Their staff!! Always friendly, cheerful, and helpful and inquisitive. Always leave with that feeling like I am part of “the family”….The store is always clean and everything in its place. Decor is bright, cheerful and relaxing.The prices are very reasonable given the level of food quality and quantity. Definitely get more than you pay for here.. 👍😀.Always a highlight of my day (or night). No matter how my day is going….Too many menu items to list here.Some of them are….Boba Teas, Milkshakes, Smoothies, Ice Cream, they’re ALWAYS popular hoagies and sandwiches. Fresh Baked (DAILY) Bagles, muffins and other pastries….They have an extensive vegan menu (loaded with tons of healthy and balanced options).I personally like their coffee (can never have enough of that, 😀👍).Definitely a MUST to stop at this place when you are in town.It’s located behind the Wawa Gas Station on 130 North bound just before Hamilton Marketplace and right across from US post office on route 130.Do not forget to order food for your next party!!Their catering prices are extremely reasonable.

Five stars because they deserve all of them.Walked into Deerpath starved. Ordered a burger. OMG, it was amazing! Juicy, yummy bun, flipping perfect. Then the tater tots: golden orbs of potato glory. Clearly, the superior potato product. Hershey’s ice cream? Rich enough to make me question all life choices. Vegan menu that actually tastes like food, not cardboard. And bagels soft and daring in flavor. Boba tea as a humble sidekick but loyal. If heaven had a menu, this would be it.

Best bagels in NJ- worth the hour drive! The bagels are a perfect texture, got the turkey bacon egg and cheese and it was delicious. Besides the bagels, the service is amazing, the staff checks in multiple times, brought a sample of a muffin and smoothly, prices are reasonable and they play good music! Please open a store in Somerset!
