Dirty Dough Introduce
Dirty Dough in Halethorpe, Maryland, is revolutionizing the dessert scene in the 21227 area, establishing itself as the go-to destination for what locals are calling "the new top cookie in town." This establishment is far more than just a typical cookie shop; it's a full-fledged dessert restaurant and ice cream shop focused on delivering an exceptionally indulgent experience. The core of their philosophy is the cookie itself—a super-stuffed, thick, soft, and unbelievably gooey creation that challenges the traditional concept of a fresh-baked treat.
The secret to Dirty Dough's success lies in their innovative approach to baking, specifically their signature "dirty" technique. This method focuses on creating a gooey, flavorful interior, taking the classic comfort of a cookie and enhancing it with rich fillings and bold, creative flavors. The cookies are often described as having a unique, slightly "hat-shaped" appearance, signifying their over-the-top, generously filled core. Whether you crave the classic comfort of Chocolate Chip or the adventurous complexity of a loaded flavor bomb, Dirty Dough aims to deliver a dessert that is truly decadent and satisfying.
While the stuffed cookies are the undisputed stars, the Halethorpe location extends its menu to cover a comprehensive range of sweet cravings. Patrons can complement their warm cookies with creamy ice cream, thick, cookie-blended milkshakes, creative cinnamon rolls, and even waffle bites and bars—all designed to be richly flavored and indulgent. Despite being a relatively new presence in the area, Dirty Dough has quickly earned a loyal following, with customers praising the products as "delicious" and, notably, tasting better than some of the more established cookie chains. It caters perfectly to those looking for a quick visit and a premium, high-quality "splurge" dessert right here in Baltimore County.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I want to preface the cookies are delicious. :-) We in our house think they taste better than Crumbl. We have gotten cookies maybe 3 times since they opened here in 21227. When you visit the Dirty Dough website to see the weekly menu -- some of the cookies I've paid for do not look at all like what is shown in the website photos. Toppings are different, are missing, or are far less than what is pictured on the website. They're pretty expensive. I would expect that the cookies I've purchased would resemble what is advertised...they are delicious though, and we will continue to splurge now and then. :-)
August 02 · Suzanne ConleyThe new top cookie in town! 🍪These guys asked the bold question "how can we take the gooey center of a fresh-baked cookie and make it better?" and answered that question in the best way possible. These weirdly 🎩-shaped cookies have a gooey flavored interior and there are many flavors to choose from. Most importantly, the cookie itself is delicious! They also have ice cream and milkshakes. The store is clean and open late, but there is no room for seating.
January 25 · Pinaki BoseThey have there cute boxes for all the quantities but they give plain white box for half dozen thats not fair.
August 16 · Shehrose RazaI placed an order through DoorDash and requested Oreo cookies, but received something completely different. I called the restaurant to find out what happened, and they told me they substituted the item because they were out of Oreos. When I asked why they didn’t just issue a refund or contact me first, I was told they “can’t do that”—which I know isn’t true. No effort was made to offer compensation or make it right. Extremely disappointing experience. I won’t be ordering from here again.
July 18 · The Real KaayA fun concept with interesting flavor options. $5 is a bit pricey for a single cookie. But the staff member was patient and helpful.
