Dochi : Japanese Mochi Donuts Introduce
### Introduction / Overview
For Florida dessert enthusiasts seeking a truly unique and modern sweet treat, **Dochi: Japanese Mochi Donuts** offers an innovative experience right in the heart of Orlando. Breaking away from the heavy, traditional American yeast or cake donut, Dochi introduces Central Florida to the delightful world of the Japanese Mochi Donut—a fusion known for its distinctive light, airy, and wonderfully chewy texture.
A "Dochi" is a pleasant cross between the sweet and chewy Japanese rice cake (mochi) and a classic fried donut. Made with glutinous rice flour, these unique sweets boast a delightful exterior crispness that gives way to a soft, springy, and satisfyingly chewy interior. Their signature shape, often resembling a connected ring of small bubbles, is designed for easy sharing, allowing local users to tear-and-share or enjoy one piece at a time.
Located in the vibrant and culturally rich Mills 50 district, Dochi has quickly become a must-visit spot for those who appreciate quality ingredients and creative, beautiful presentation. The shop focuses on a rotating menu of exciting flavors, blending exotic, Japanese-inspired tastes like Ube and Matcha with classic favorites such as Churro and Cookie Butter. Whether you are a local looking for a new obsession or visiting the area, Dochi promises a memorable, lighter alternative to the traditional donut, perfectly paired with their selection of specialty drinks.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I came to Dochi with my family while visiting Orlando. My brother, sister, niece, sister-in-law, and my child were all with me, and we did it right. We each picked a different flavor so we could try as many as possible, and honestly, not a single one disappointed. We ended up going back for seconds because they were that good.My personal favorites were the churro, cookie butter, classic glaze, and the matcha Oreo. Those were unreal. But everyone had their own top pick, which just goes to show how solid the whole menu is. The donuts are light, chewy, and the flavors are bold without being overpowering. And visually? Absolutely beautiful. You can tell care goes into each one.I’m so sad I don’t live in Orlando because I would be here way too often. This spot is officially on my must-visit list anytime I’m in town. Definitely worth the hype.
August 02 · Catherine VarelaThe quality on their mochi donuts are always consistent and they usually have different seasonal flavors. My absolute favorite is the Ube mochi donut topped with fruity pebbles. Also, the packing is super cute. Try it out, you deserve it.
January 15 · LainaReminds me so much mochinut in San Pedro square in San Jose lol. Bay Area native speaking. The whole area is incredibly well designed. It’s a market full of various food options, right across from a biscuit place. The donuts are very tasty and I also enjoyed the matcha latte (don’t expect ceremonial grade it’s more so like a boba vibe)
December 09 · S DLove how the mochi donuts aren’t too sweet! My family who doesn’t really eat sweets love this place!
July 23 · Diana VuNote: If you’ve been before, they have moved downstairs to the courtyard area! This was our second time visiting. The donuts are great. The salted caramel is INCREDIBLE! As I was eating one, my (22yo) son thought that I was being dramatic at how delicious it was. Then he tried one and tasted the magic that I did. I hope you have that flavor when you go, but if not, enjoy the rest!
