★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’m a first time customer and I promise you I’ll be back. This food is as delicious as it looks. I’m genuinely impressed.
June 19 · scott cutlipI was surprised by this small bakery as it has a lot variety and everything it is clean and organized, I also thought it was pretty inexpensive, the two ladies working the counter were very efficient. The down side it is the quality, while everything looks delicious, it does not translate into quality or flavors. The dessert are all artificial colors and doesn’t taste at all like the fruit flavor they claim to be, the tres leches was well below average and too watery. Again given the prices I would say it’s fair given the quality. Some of the bread and cookies we bought for later we couldn’t even eat it because they taste old and had not flavor. Again not trying to be rude but you get what you pay for. I would not recommend.
August 09 · EdI visited the place and the owners changed, but they still carry the name and flavors. Martha was very polite and friendly. She gave me her recommendations. I got half a dozen of donuts. They were very good. I haven’t tasted all of them yet. They also have a lot of baked items. All the prices are very reasonable. Overall an amazing local place, I would definitely go again.
April 06 · Krishna B KidambiCame here with my nieces while on a road trip. We ordered tamales, breads and some sweet bakery items and everything that we got were delicious. It was flavorful and fresh. The breads were not sweet and were also freshly made. The best part was that it was affordable. The ladies in the front were attentive and pleasant. Sad that we don't have one in our area. Will return again.
March 28 · Juan TorrezI’ve been a loyal customer of La Familia Bakery in Beltsville for years, always getting birthday cakes for family celebrations, but my recent experience has left me extremely disappointed. I bought a tres leches cake, expecting the usual moist, flavorful dessert, but instead, it was drier than a pound cake. I went back to the bakery to give them a chance to make it right. Unfortunately, instead of offering an apology, and taking notes to avoid same in future they just made excuses, claiming the baker said the cakes were fine. Not once did they acknowledge the issue or —they just tried to down play my concerns. No one took note of the fact that I have bought cakes there several times and have never complained. This kind of customer service is unacceptable. I won’t be returning. They treat you like a transaction and not a customer. A manger was called on the phone no time did they bother to engage me in the conversation. Even worst is the were speaking in Spanish as if they were hiding something. This place is highly not recommended.
