★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’ve tried bagel shops in New York and all over, and I can honestly say these were the best bagels I’ve ever had. Perfectly chewy, fresh, and full of flavor. I ordered a variety: The B.A.T. (bacon, arugula, tomato with aioli) was crisp and savory, the Laika (smoked salmon, tomato, cucumber, pickled onions, capers with herb cream cheese) was a classic done to perfection, and the Samson (tuna salad, avocado, tomato, dill) was fresh and filling. Sammi’s Egg Sammy (scrambled eggs, aged cheddar, and arugula with chermoula) had so much flavor, while the Scarlett (heirloom tomato, lemon zest, chili flakes with cream cheese) was simple but bold. The Pre-Jam stood out — I really liked that it uses seasonal fruit instead of being fixed, which makes it feel creative and different each time. Every bagel I tried had its own personality, and honestly, not a single miss.
August 26 · Alaa AasadBest bagels in LA. Always hit the spot. I love the plain bagels with cream cheese but they also have so many cool specialty bagels I feel like you can't get anywhere else in LA. It's usually somewhat busy but I preorder most of the time which makes the whole process much easier so I recommend doing that. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. I recommend Layla for anyone who wants a delicious bagel that keeps you full!
August 28 · Megan MiddlesonI’m finally hit up Layla‘s bagels. I think it’s a good bagel please. I think I prefer courage bagel to this bagel place. The Matcha was OK definitely would wanna try out the different bagel. It’s a good spot if you want if you’re in the west side.
June 03 · Ninoska SuarezImpressed it actually lived up to the hype. The addition of cucumber to their lox bagel was interesting in a good way as it added an earthiness and a thicker bite. I like that the lox wasn’t paper thin and actually had some chew to it — they also tasted exactly like the Kirkland smoked, no shame if it is, it’s the best in the game. I really liked the pickled onion because they add sweetness and acidity as well as the inclusion of lemon zest over juice because it added acidity without unnecessary moisture.I was also surprised at how much I like The Mia. The avocado was super creamy, perfectly salted and I loved how the Fresno chilis cut through the fat. The greens were also well seasoned and added pepperiness. While I did enjoy the pile of toppings, they just kind of fall off and make the bagel harder to eat than it needed to be.Layla Bagels is still maybe a bit fancy for my taste, but definitely worth the experience.
June 07 · Gavin “GJM_reviews” MeichelbockReally good bagels! We got the laika, the heirloom tomato one, and the raspberry/kumquat one and they were all top notch. Great flavor combos and I'd highly recommend all three. I wish they were a little easier to eat, especially since they don't have a lot of seating so we ended up eating them sitting on the ledge by the soccer field. Line is always long so definitely plan for that.
