For many local businesses and consumers in South Jersey, the name Liscio's is synonymous with Italian bread and various baked goods. However, it is important to distinguish this specific location in Glassboro, NJ, which operates primarily as a major manufacturer and wholesale warehouse, playing a critical role in supplying products to various outlets rather than functioning solely as a traditional retail storefront.
This facility, situated in the heart of Glassboro, is dedicated to the large-scale production and distribution of bakery items. It is a central hub in the regional food service industry, working behind the scenes to ensure that fresh products are available to customers through their various partners and distribution channels. The focus here is on efficiency, volume, and logistics, serving a wide array of clients ranging from restaurants and delis to other retail locations that stock Liscio's products. Understanding this core function—Manufacturer, Wholesale, and Warehouse—is key to appreciating its place in the local economy and food landscape.
As a major player in the local wholesale bakery market, Liscio's Italian Bakery - Wholesale serves as a vital resource for many establishments across New Jersey that depend on a consistent and high-volume supply of baked goods. This commitment to manufacturing and large-scale supply positions them as a foundational element of the regional food system, supporting countless smaller businesses that rely on their product output. This particular facility is optimized for logistics and production, underpinning the brand's presence throughout the area.

This location in Gloucester County places the facility in an accessible area for regional distribution operations, which is crucial for a wholesale and manufacturing business that serves a broad geographic area. The address is central to its mission of production and logistics, providing a base from which their products are distributed daily.
Accessibility is a key operational feature of this location, especially given its function as a high-volume warehouse and manufacturing site. The facility makes specific provisions to ensure ease of access for all visitors and operational needs.

These features indicate a commitment to accommodating all individuals, whether they are staff, delivery personnel, or business partners visiting the site for pickups or administrative purposes. The focus on accessibility aligns with standard modern business practices, ensuring that the facility is compliant and welcoming to a diverse range of operational requirements and individuals.
While this location's primary function is wholesale and manufacturing, its role as a regional anchor requires excellent logistical access, which the Glassboro location provides effectively. For local businesses in New Jersey, the proximity of a major supplier like this contributes to reduced lead times and more reliable service, although customers should note that the operational focus is on wholesale, not typical retail browsing.
Services Offered
The core services offered by Liscio's Italian Bakery - Wholesale are defined by its operational types: Bakery, Manufacturer, and Warehouse. These are highly specialized services catering primarily to the business-to-business sector and regional food supply chain.
- Large-Scale Bakery Production: The facility operates as a manufacturer, focusing on the high-volume production of various bakery items. This includes the preparation, baking, and primary processing of goods that are then distributed.
- Wholesale Supply: The primary service is the wholesale distribution of baked products. This means supplying businesses—such as grocery stores, restaurants, catering companies, and delis—with bulk orders of bread, rolls, and other products. This is distinct from direct-to-consumer retail sales.
- Warehouse Operations: Functioning as a warehouse, the facility handles the storage, inventory management, and staging of goods for dispatch. This is a critical logistical service that ensures orders are correctly fulfilled and ready for timely delivery across the distribution network.
- Payment Acceptance: For business-to-business transactions and any approved direct sales, the location accepts standard electronic payment methods, streamlining the purchasing process for wholesale clients.
The distinction between the manufacturing and wholesale services is crucial for New Jersey businesses. What is Worth Choosing
For businesses in New Jersey, Liscio's Italian Bakery - Wholesale is a worthy choice primarily for its function as a reliable, large-scale supplier. When considering a choice for a commercial bakery partner, the sheer capacity and logistical structure of a manufacturer and warehouse operation like this are the main draw. Choosing Liscio's means tapping into an established supply line that can handle significant volume, a necessity for growing or high-traffic food service establishments.
The provided feedback, which focuses heavily on delivery service issues and product quality (particularly for wholesale roll/bread delivery and specific sandwich construction/bread crustiness), should be considered by potential business partners. For wholesale clients, consistent service and product quality are paramount. The repetitive nature of the delivery complaints regarding bread being left outside and empty boxes not being picked up suggests a critical area for logistical improvement that business partners should be aware of and potentially discuss with management prior to contracting. Likewise, feedback concerning product quality, such as the perceived lack of crust on some breads and the execution of specific sandwich items, indicates that partners should ensure the Liscio's product line they choose aligns with their specific quality standards and customer expectations.
However, the enduring presence of Liscio's in the New Jersey market suggests that, despite these documented operational and quality issues raised by some customers, they remain a significant source for many area businesses. Their capacity to manufacture and distribute at scale, backed by convenient payment options, positions them as a strong contender for wholesale bakery needs, provided the noted logistical and quality concerns are addressed or mitigated in the business relationship. For any local business needing reliable, high-volume bakery supply, the Glassboro facility offers a vital resource, making it a critical hub in the New Jersey food ecosystem.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I tried to order Vilotti Veggie hoagie, but the computer charges extra for items that are standard on the sandwich, and eggplant isn't on the computer as an option - so their ordering system has lots of errors. Also asked to have it toasted because Liscios bread doesn't have much of a crust (but the person didn't read it). Got the sandwich home - NOT toasted, and was a soggy mess where the spinach was (they didn't drain the water?). It could have been a good hoagie but was made in a sloppy careless manner.I had stopped going to Liscios years back when I discovered Pal Joeys, which has much better bread and hoagies.Liscios pastries and pizza are fine, but their bread has no crusty crust and their hoagies are awful. A $13-$14 hoagie shouldn't be a soggy mess. I had hoped the new Liscios would be better than this, and that they would do better quality hoagies. They're right-- it starts with the bread--but their bread isn't that great. This new Liscios is like the old one and is new, but not improved.
April 03 · Nancy MWe have been receiving our sub rolls from Liscios for many years. It hasn't been until recently (8 July and 15 July 2021) where we have come across this problem. This driver has not brought our bread inside whatsoever. Obviously this driver does not care.Squirrels have munched on the bread that was purposefully left outside.Liscios has been contacted about this problem before.16 July 2021 The driver picked up one stack of the bread boxes but not the stack directly behind it! Once again, the driver left our new bread OUTSIDE! We have contacted Liscios about this problem and STILL nothing has been done.2 Sept 2021 The delivery driver did not bring in our bread AGAIN. We have contacted Liscios about this problem once again! Nothing has been done! Ridiculous!7 Sept 2021 And once again, the driver did not bring our bread in and did not pick up the empty bread boxes. Really?Liscios has been contacted every time. Nothing has been done. Time to find a better bread company.
September 07 · Melissa HillI don't think they do a quality check here. This is what they consider a $13.99 pumpkin pie. Sad. I don't understand how they would be comfortable sending this out to anyone. They also like to give stores day old rolls and call it "fresh".
November 25 · Caitlyn RathofHorrible customer service. Sharon Sweet has a horrible attitude from AR. Sales rep does not do anything.Save yourself the headache and go to Amoroso or one of the other competitors, better service, better prices.I hope management sees this and reaches out. Sharon or Tom will know
April 05 · Robert IdellAcme sells Liscio's rolls, which taste good when they are fresh but Liscio's often delivers stale rolls! Do not blame Acme for this problem. Try the loose steak rolls but only immediately after they are delivered in the morning and are thus actually fresh.I am not even a fan of Acme due to their sky-high prices, lazy employees, and expired food, but I go to their stores just to buy Liscio's rolls when they are fresh.
