Los Angelitos Bakery Introduce
Introduction / Overview
For over three decades, Los Angelitos Bakery has been a beloved and integral part of the Huntington Park, California community. Established in 1992, this family-owned business prides itself on specializing in what many locals consider the most authentic and best-tasting Mexican Sweet Bread, or Pan Dulce, in all of Los Angeles County. More than just a bakery, this location on East Florence Avenue functions as a community hub, offering a wide array of goods that go beyond traditional pastries.
The bakery is a true reflection of the community it serves. It proudly identifies as both Latino-owned and Women-owned, bringing a valuable, personal heritage to its operation. Furthermore, Los Angelitos Bakery has fostered an environment that is intentionally inclusive, identifying as an LGBTQ+ friendly space and a Transgender safespace, demonstrating a powerful commitment to serving all members of the diverse Southern California population. This commitment extends beyond service, as the bakery has actively participated in fundraising for local LGBTQ+ organizations through specialty products like their rainbow-colored conchas.
Regular patrons view the bakery as a comprehensive local resource, described by one long-time customer as great for a quick trip when you need milk or eggs, but you get to treat yourself too. This sentiment highlights the dual role the shop plays: a convenient stop for everyday essentials alongside its core offering of freshly baked goods. While the specialty is the traditional Mexican Sweet Bread, pastries, and cakes, the menu has expanded over the years to include savory, ready-to-eat items like tamales (if you’re lucky enough to get them).
The core attraction remains the baking expertise. The bakery creates a wide variety of beautiful, great tasting, and affordable pastries and cakes, and has a particular strength in crafting custom cakes for any occasion—from birthdays and anniversaries to vibrant Quinceñeras. This blend of authentic baked goods, expanding savory options, and genuine community engagement firmly establishes Los Angelitos Bakery as a distinct and essential local business in Huntington Park.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I have been going to this bakery for many years...about 30 years but not sure if it's the same family. They have always had delicious Mexican bread, pastries, and cakes...now they have added tamales (if you're lucky enough to get them). Great for a quick trip when you need milk or eggs, but you get to treat yourself too.
September 21 · Roberta MiI ordered customized soccer conchitas for my son’s birthday, and was told this place was the best way to go. I saw their instagram and their past work so I decided to place and order, I sent them a picture of exactly how I wanted them. And the results were extremely disappointing! Not just how horrible they looked but also how they tasted. Even people at the party told me I should’ve ordered at our local bakery, instead of traveling 1hr. It was just very disappointing, and embarrassing even bringing out the concha’s, I needed up having to throw those away and get sweet bread from another store.
December 12 · YAMIRI POLICARPOI’ve been ordering from angelitos bakery custom cakes for a couple years now and my family and I are always amazed how beautiful our cakes come out and not only beautiful, but so delicious!!! Angelitos bakery never disappoints! Always get what I asked for for! Not to mention the amazing customer service! You won’t regret coming to this bakery!
August 29 · Ximena HerreraNice people, but not sure if hygienic when they make their bread. Grabbed a couple of pumpkin empanadas for 2 days straight since the flavor was great, but on the second day, unfortunately had unbearable stomach ache after eating. Might be food poisoning.
June 12 · Maine CoonOrdered a birthday cake. The cake looked like a 3 year old made it. Asked for a discount or have them fix it. For some odd reason, they saw nothing wrong with it ( see pictures below). All she was able to offer was a $5 discount out of $70. There was no apology. I hoped the cake tasted better than what it looked like. She assured me it will ...I arrived home and the cake completely came apart. It was the worst cake of my life!!! 3 inches of cake with 2cm of strawberries with more thick cream and another 3 inches on cake on top. Cake was chewy and in some areas dry.First time and definitely Never going back. If you are a cake lover and expect high quality this is not the place for you. No matter what area you are in, a cake should always be done well. Anyway, Definitely not worth the money nor the wait. No one ate it....
