Firstly, the extensive menu means that any member of a family or group can find something to enjoy, from the sweet-tooth craving a classic glaze donut or an inventive specialty item, to the person looking for a savory, hearty meal. The breakfast and lunch sandwiches, particularly the croissant-based options, are frequently highlighted in customer reviews for their quality and value, making them a must-try for first-time visitors or regular commuters seeking a quick and satisfying morning meal.
Secondly, the availability of specialty beverages like boba tea and a variety of freshly prepared smoothies firmly places Sunny Donuts a step ahead in catering to the dynamic Los Angeles County market. It offers a local, non-corporate alternative for satisfying multiple cravings—a donut and a boba tea—in one single stop.
The shop's convenience also cannot be overstated. Located directly across from a major community college and offering not only food but also convenience services like lottery tickets and an ATM, it is designed for maximum utility. This multi-purpose format is perfect for the busy, on-the-go lifestyle common in Southern California. The fact that it is a family-owned business also provides an opportunity to support a local establishment, often resulting in a more friendly and personal service experience compared to larger corporate venues.
While some isolated customer experiences point to inconsistencies in food quality—with a few mentions of stale bread or unsatisfactory items—the overwhelming consensus suggests that Sunny Donuts is a highly-rated community favorite. It delivers on its promise of a broad selection, convenient location, and generally fresh, quality food and beverages. For a comprehensive, convenient, and locally supported food stop near El Camino Community College, Sunny Donuts is an excellent choice for a daily visit.

April 21 · Patience Is The KeyFood is genuinely disgusting. Anything with dough or bread tastes stale, like it’s been there for weeks. I got a breakfast sandwich and was sick the rest of the day.
November 15 · AshleeI've been a customer for a few years since I went to school right across from the shop. The man working is friendly and always kind. I really love how he makes the smoothies or boba drinks. My go to is always the croissant with ham and cheese. The donuts are a treat to get. For me it's a 5. 😊
November 18 · kvThe lady was very nice. I did not catch her name. There is an ATM. They have a big assortment of drinks. They have sandwiches. The ham and cheese croissant was amazing.
May 20 · Leah “Mamaleah”Sunny Donuts has been around and has stood the test of time. I used to come here many years ago for glazed donuts and their DDR machine (I know, right? a DDR machine inside of a DONUT SHOP?! yeah, that was a thing). $0.50 for 3 songs + extra stage if you scored high enough. Fun times. Oh, the good old days. That was 2004 when I was in my first year of college (Yes, Sunny has been around at LEAST 2 decades). Never had a poor experience here. A lot of these newcomers don't even know who/what they're speaking on. People complain about any and everything nowadays. I was in the area not long ago and did not think to stop by and see how the owners/business was doing, but I probably will the next time I'm in the area. Would be cool if they still have their DDR machine there lol but I doubt it. 🤔Either way, it's great to see a local small business standing the test of time and still going strong! FIGHTING!💪🏽
