★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I had a blueberry scone and a coffee. Sat at the counter for about an hour. It was really a nice experience to be in a place that hasn't changed much since the 1920s. A real gem!
July 19 · Scott BaxterThis place is fantastic. The energy the hosts share with every person who comes through the door makes you appreciate the grandness of life. They make amazing pastries, serve hot coffee and if you need some live music in the morning— they’ve got that too. I stayed at the Hotel De Ville and then came here in the morning and it made me feel like how I felt when I was a young man making a living giving bicycle tours of Versailles. There’s just no way to say thank you to operators like this who do what they do to make people feel good, like the world is magical, like goodness can be found in pastries and people alike. This cafe made me believe in America again. After the dismal election of the greedy, mean & selfish autocrat last November I wasn’t sure if America was still a place of kindness and joy. This place shows us the best of Americans. I wish I could visit this place every day.
July 18 · adam benedettoJust stopped in to the Alma Bakery, bought some tasty treats. Ate the chocolate chip cookies before we even left the store. Tasted just like my homemade ones.Met the new owner Travis, and were serenaded on the keyboard by him. A welcome addition to the downtown, stop in and check him out.
March 29 · Anne SmithGot there close to closing on a Saturday and they still had a good selection. Donuts, bars, cookies, huge homeade pretzels (I got the jalapeño and cheese). Honestly the best donuts I've ever had in my life. I'm sad we live 4 hours away or I'd be there constantly. Everything was delicious.
June 23 · Karen DillehayStayed at the townhouse across the street. Awoke to the owner across the street with fresh bread and baked goods. Went in, got sang happy birthday and treated to some fun piano tunes with good conversation. Fun dude, good food! Stop in and check out. 11/10.
