Auntie Anne's Introduce
Introduction / Overview
For residents of Massachusetts, particularly those frequently traveling along the Massachusetts Turnpike, a familiar and often welcome sight is an Auntie Anne's location. The Auntie Anne's situated at Milepost 89 Exit, 6 Massachusetts Turnpike in Charlton, MA, offers a convenient and popular stop for freshly baked soft pretzels and other related snacks. This isn't your traditional sit-down bakery with elaborate cakes, but rather a specialized establishment focused on delivering warm, chewy, and flavorful pretzels that serve as a perfect on-the-go treat or a satisfying snack during a long drive.
Auntie Anne's has built its reputation on the simple yet highly appealing concept of hand-rolled, freshly baked pretzels, often served warm right out of the oven. The aroma of baking dough and butter is a signature part of the experience, drawing in customers looking for a comforting and quick bite. While the classic salted pretzel is a perennial favorite, they also offer a variety of other flavors, including sweet options like cinnamon sugar, catering to different preferences. The convenience of their location within a major travel plaza makes them a go-to spot for both weary travelers and local residents passing through.
Beyond the pretzels themselves, Auntie Anne's often provides complementary items such as various dipping sauces and refreshing beverages, completing the snack experience. The focus here is on efficiency and immediate satisfaction, making it an ideal choice for those who need a quick, warm, and satisfying snack without the wait times of a full-service restaurant. For Massachusetts locals navigating the Turnpike, Auntie Anne's in Charlton stands as a reliable and tasty pit stop.
Location and Accessibility
Auntie Anne's is strategically located at Milepost 89 Exit, 6 Massachusetts Tpke, Charlton, MA 01507, USA. This placement is incredibly significant as it means the bakery is situated within a service plaza directly on the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90). This makes it exceptionally accessible for a vast number of people: not just residents of Charlton, but also those from surrounding towns like Sturbridge, Auburn, and Worcester, who use the Turnpike for daily commutes or longer journeys across the state.
Being part of a major highway service plaza provides unparalleled convenience. Travelers can easily pull off the highway, access the facilities, and quickly grab a pretzel before continuing their journey. The plaza typically offers abundant parking, making stops hassle-free. For locals, it means a readily available snack option that is accessible without needing to navigate complex town roads, especially if they are already on the Turnpike or live very close to the exit.
The very nature of its location at a Turnpike exit ensures high visibility and consistent traffic. This strategic positioning solidifies Auntie Anne's as a primary destination for quick, warm, and satisfying snacks for anyone utilizing the Massachusetts Turnpike. Its ease of access is undoubtedly one of its strongest selling points, catering perfectly to the needs of travelers and locals on the move.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Pretzel Bites were fairly soft but lord they were SALTY!!! You can brush it off tho... Next time I think I'll try the Cinnamon Bites 🫶 Id havta say my biggest complaint was paying $2 for the smallest sauce cup I've done seen in my life...
January 23 · ClusterFuxCrystalsCashier was friendly. They had a lot of food in the glass case, went around 6:45. No wait for the food. Pretzels were mildly warm but barely. There was a ton of salt, definitely needed water after the pretzel.
August 17 · L.A.P CoinsCame in wanting some cinnamon pretzel. Was told they don’t have any and aren’t making any. I of course insisted and had to wait 15 mins for one even though they were making some and hadn’t put salt on them yet. Very disappointed in this location. Edit: out wayyyy to much cinnamon on the pretzel. Also I had asked, as previously mentioned, for A cinnamon pretzel. Instead I was charged extra for a cup of pretzel nuggets which was way more than I wanted. Some of the worst service I’ve ever seen. Maybe if the cashier actually fully spoke English then this wouldn’t have been an issue.
May 27 · Shayne McCrackenI was passing by the highway and decided to make a stop to have breakfast I had 2 options McDonald’s and Auntie Anne’s well I went For the pretzel I was lucky because they were just opening and I really don’t regret having chosen that I ate mini hoy dog they were very good soft and hoy I also liked the attention the young woman was very friendly. I recommmended them
November 05 · Johanny SosaAvoid at all costs! There were two Hispanic women working when I came in around 6:00 p.m. on a Sunday. One was rolling dough and the other one was the cashier. The cashier was incompetent and rude! When I asked what flavors they had available, she said they only had "sal y cinnamon."Once I chose my order (which was very limited as they only had original/cinnamon pretzels or hot dogs available), she refused to accept my auntie Anne's reward number, saying she only takes cash or card. When I tried to explain that she can type in my reward number, she scoffs at me rudely saying cash or card. Later, she refused to give me a receipt saying she already closed the order (I only knew this because the guest behind me translated her Spanish to English for me).@corporateHow do you have a cashier who doesn't speak English and then also doesn't know how to work her own register to print a receipt? The pretzel itself had been sitting there a while and I've definitely tasted much better pretzels at other locations. I would avoid this auntie Anne's at all costs and its rude workers! how hard is it to hire and train competent workers??!! At the very least, If they can't speak English, they can at least be friendly!!
