★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The mango cake is the best ever!!Bomdigalicious!! So moist, fluffy, soft, not too sweet. Some of the pastries and savory options were delicious while some were mediocre- just taste like regular bread with whipped cream. Maybe if some of their pastries’ bread was similar to Hawaiian bread, it would be worth the $5. Drove more than 300 miles to check them out. They were courteous and accommodating in providing us ice for our coolers for our road trip home. Our mango cake, red velvet cake and pastries made it home fine. The rest of the family loved the goodies.
August 10 · john 3:16I recently visited the newest Bag of Cake location in Irvine after hearing so much about it especially their reputation for using no preservatives. I waited in line for over 15 minutes, but it was absolutely worth it.The pastries were incredibly fresh, soft, and full of flavor. You can really taste the difference in quality. If you’re a fan of simple, clean, and delicious baked goods, this place is definitely worth checking out.
August 05 · Sahar MeshksarI’ve been wanting to come check out this Korean bakery since it 1st opened 2 years ago and finally went w my Gfren on 08.16.25Sunday, half n hour before closing time.A bit bummer since by than, all of the bakery goods were about majority wiped out.The bakery was still busy with a lot of customers dining enjoying their drinks & pastries. What i recommend here & my favTheir Maritzo. Really scrumptious, creamy, bun is so fluffy & good. Not overly sweet since lots of cream buns tend to be sweet.Customer service is great.Cute little bakery with nice natural lighting & contemporary design look.Lots of seatings indoor and outside with an umbrella.I’ve passed by several of times and see a long line out the door.Located in same shopping plaza as Albertsons, next door to a nail salon.
September 04 · Mimi JungBag of Cakes offers cakes (obviously!), pastries, coffees, and other beverages. The Good:I love the unique flavors of cakes and pastries, some of which is hybrid of American, French, and Asian influences. I enjoyed the ube twist and egg bacon bread. The hazelnut chocolate croissant was good but had only a faint hazelnut flavor. The Bad:The cold brew einspanner was a disappointment, largely because the coffee itself was sour. If you're into super acidic coffee, this might be your thing, but I prefer strong nutty flavor of coffee, not citrus-y. The limited seating doesn't help the overall experience. The Ugly:The long line and the prices. We got in at a decent time, as the line was long but contained inside the store. Once we finished ordering the line snaked outside. The wait combined with the disappointing einspanner doesn't justify the somewhat high prices.Overall:Our first visit was solid, even if it didn't live up to the hype. However, we're willing to return to give it another try.
April 13 · Patrick VuongMatcha lattes, cruffins, and egg salad salt bread are a must have from Bag of Cakes. They are lamination pros and the croissants are amazing. This place is worth going out of the way for.
