★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Have lived nearby and meant to go for years but due to Maps status, had assumed it was closed… It is NOT! It is open, vibrant, and delicious. Baristas are friendly, and service is quick. They have a brilliant and wide assortment of gorgeous French pastry (provided you come early, as we’ve heard they sell out!), the coffee is delicious, and the cafe ambience is lovely. Thanks so much to our new favorite local coffee shop and bakery!!
September 07 · Eliana HarrickI'm generally a bit generous with 5-star reviews, but Bakery Honoré genuinely deserves it. It is a testament to the quality of their pastries that they are only open three days a week, for 7 hours a day.The pastries are immaculate, and the croissants are the best I've found in Seattle and possibly elsewhere (I say this as someone who's been to Arsicault, Craftsman & Wolves etc.). The coffee is also amazing and the matcha latte—one of my favorite drinks of all time—is the best I've had anywhere (and this drink can be VERY hit or miss depending on where you go).The atmosphere, decorations, music, and the friendliness of the staff are just as enjoyable as the food. You just have to see for yourself. (= They have a few heated savory breakfast sandwiches and some seating if you wish to enjoy your food or drink on-site.For what it's worth, I walk two miles to come here every weekend... so they must be good!
April 20 · InkhYay! They are open again. After numerous times driving by and wanting to go in but frustrated by the "closed" sign on the door, we were pleasantly surprised to drive by today and see it open. One quick u-turn later, we were inside and dealing with the quandary of having to choose from an abundance of amazing-looking desserts. This is the kind of place every neighborhood wants. Tiny, but full of atmosphere and enticing pastry of all kinds. The staff was friendly, helpful, quick, and seemed genuinely happy to be there. They told us the Kouign-amann were fresh, and I was glad to hear it, as it's one of my favorite pastries and I've found it notoriously difficult to get a good one. These were light, sweet, and buttery without being too greasy - everything you want from the Breton classic. As good as they were however, it was hard to turn away from the many delicious-looking options in the case. I know I've got to go back to get the apricot tart, whatever that cream filled bun was, and - according to my neighbor - the cherry strudel. That's another nice thing about Honore, it's the kind of place where you see your neighbors and they tell you to get there early if you want to get the strudel before it runs out. The coffee was also not bad. They make an acceptable cortado, which is one of my cafe litmus tests. Not the best I've had, but an absolutely find complement to the pastry. As I said, it's small - one 3-person tables and 5 2-tops, but if you can snag one, it's a lovely place to hang out and chat, play a game of cards, do some journaling, listen to French music, and watch people struggle with the pastry decisions you just made. We were lucky in our timing. When we got there, the place was empty, but 5 minutes after we sat down, there was a line out the door and all the tables filled up quick and by the time we left, the cases were nearly cleared out, so I think that this is the kind of place you want to hit early if you can. I hope they stay open!
September 07 · Tod HCame here about minutes after opening on a Sunday and was third in line, and soon there was a dedicated line. Very much enjoyed the ham gruyere croissant and the berry tart. The bread pudding was good too, loved that it wasn't too sweet and had a lovely texture but personally could have done without the added chocolate chips. Good coffee, cute cozy interior and friendly staff too :)
March 12 · Anna BaatzBakery Honore feels like stepping into a cafe in the middle of Paris rather than Lake City. The ambiance is expertly curated bringing a nice warmth to every interaction. The staff are always smiling and happy to engage customers to help them pick from the myriad pastries.Pegasus coffee and espresso are available for the perfect pairing. Despite being open only Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the time of posting, the bakery sells out daily and is a true gem in the neighborhood. If only I could give 9 stars...
