June 01 · Evan FischerBlue Gate Bakery has become a weekly staple for our household. The town desperately needed a place like this and the breakfast sandwiches are the best that I’ve ever had. Our 8 year old daughter even orders two on Sunday so she can have one Monday morning as well. Everything I have ordered here has been absolutely delicious.
May 05 · James PThis bakery is AMAZING!! Holy cow. I drove over an hour to try this bakery since I heard nothing but good things. Nothing but AUTHENTIC baked goods. Everything smelled delicious, the aroma alone when you walk in is heavenly. The pastries were not only delicious but also beautifully presented. Yobana and Bruce were friendly and helpful, making the entire visit enjoyable. Options, options! There are many wonderful treats here. You'll have to come back multiple times to try them all. This is a must-try if you haven't had it before! The hot cocoa was a work of art! the BEC was the best one ever.
January 27 · GeovannyThe best egg sandwiches and French style baked goods in the Housatonic River valley bar none. The sausage rolls are quite tasty too. Heck, you can't go wrong but do ask for cheddar on your egg sandwich if you're not partial to the slightly incongruous default of American. Get there early for best selection and then take a spectacular hike up Pine Knob loop to work off the calories.
March 15 · Richard DaltonThis place is awesome. Exceptional quality baked goods and, hands down amidst some pretty good competition, the absolute best sausage egg and cheese sandwich in the area, all the way from Kent to the Mass border. The reason the sausage egg and cheese, or BEC if you prefer, is superior lies in the freshly baked bun as well as the quality of the local eggs. I love the sandwiches at both Gifford and Wilson’s down in Kent, but this one is better, primarily just for the bread. We also had cinnamon rolls (pictured below), awesome. Glad they are here and worth a drive or a stop by if you’re on Route 7
