Food is great, except that the sourdough is on the harder side for me. The beef soup that comes with French Dip is a bit salty. You’ll need to ask for water at the counter.

The food is pretty good. The broccoli cheese soup could use a little work/be creamier perhaps? The sourdough of course is legit and tasty but the other food items are just okay.Service is more like a stand or a mall where you get your food and sit down on your own. If you want your table cleaned off, you should wipe it down yourself.Overall, it’s Boudin’s and Boudin’s is famous and we love bread, but if you are looking for a fancy place and want great service, you may want to try somewhere else.

We stopped by here after taking a tram to Union Square and walking around the area.It is on the lower lobby of the Macy’s building and seemed somewhat busy. 2 of us ordered a BLTA Sandwich, which is a BLT with avocado while 2 of us ordered Mac & Cheese in a bread bowl. They were out of the Dungeness Crab which would have been great with Mac & Cheese.Both my wife and mother-in-law enjoyed their sandwiches. The bread and veggies were really fresh and went nicely with the bacon. The Mac was creamy and was so good dipping the top of the bread bowl in. Once we finished the Mac we finish 1/2 of our bread bowl and took the rest home. It made a good snack before dinner.Good food at a good price. We would eat here again.

The soup and bread here is delicious. The butternut squash soup was exceptional here, I also enjoyed the broccoli cheddar soup. The sourdough bread is very good and I recommend getting a sourdough bread bowl.Despite being more of a counter-serve than a full-service style of restaurant, their service was very good when I dined in and they were very quick to complete my order.

Tasty tomato soup and pleasant service.I ordered a bowl of tomato soup for dine-in, in a normal bowl. The soup was nice and warm and served with some cheese and croutons on top and a roll on the side. The nice cashier gave me an extra roll. The rolls were cold, but seemed fresh. My total was just under $10. Overall, I felt like this was a nice experience.
